Both bikes were very cool, both shops always turn out cool stuff. Was happy to see our good friend Kiwi on the show too. Kiwi had Trevelene's bike in Cinci for the expo, very cool.
I thought both bikes were "killer". Not to mention the talent of the guy that hand formed the copper tank & fender.(Worked for Coddington recently on AHR) Can't remember his name, but he's excellent at metalwork, low keyed and seems real likeable. Boyd screwed up by not seeing what went on behind the scenes, and right in front of hateful Duane's nose. None the less, both bikes were bone bad and knarlee'.
Now this is the kind of biker build off that I love to watch. Two very talented builders with great people helping them with the build. Alot of building and not alot of time wasted on useless drama and other BS. This is the type of show that made BBO great. Really loved both bikes and this one would have been a hard vote for me to make. Not alot of people posting in here so I wonder if people like this type of show or not? For me, I do. Iron
I posted on another thread last week. There doesn't seem to be alot of traffic on this message board, but anyway...Although I liked both bikes, I preferred the Legacy bike better. I was happy to see Paul Cox and Keino prove themselves to be the truly talented bike builders that they are. It's nice to see that they can stay true to Larry's vision and and still maintain their own individuality. I agree with ironhorsefan, that this was a build-off with actual bike-building and minimal b.s. I would really like to see Superco and Legacy again because I thoroughly enjoyed the show!
I also feel that the Legacy was superior to superco. It seemed much of the work done superco was from that kiwi bike shop. They should have done the build @ kiwi because they built the frame and the motor.
