Not yet. His civil trial is first. He is looking at up to 15 years. And under Fla. law he is going to do some kind of time. Sad it is.
What is sad about billy going to jail. he killed another person while driving drunk. he should go to jail for the rest of his life. He had two other dui's, before this one. What is sad, is that James Morlock is no longer with us!!
Wow, Billy sure did piss his career away. What a same. I also feel bad for the family of the lost individual. I would think Billy will probably lose everything from this deal. Sad Hate to see crap like this happen.
If James Morlock wasn't allegedly drinking and driving he probably could have gotten out of the way. Strange how very few people mention that when they want to hang Billy Lane.
Allegedly, "A blood test, ordered by Florida Highway Patrol officers investigating the accident, revealed that Morelock’s blood alcohol content was .133."

Flowjet, That is the most ridiculous statement that I have ever heard! Even if he was wasted(and he clearly wasn't, he was just past the legal limit),Does that mean that Billy's allowed to run down motorcyclists as long as they've been drinking? No where in the report does it mention that the VICTIM was swerving, speeding, passing anyone erratically or leaving his designated lane. In fact it says just the opposite, BUT WHAT IT DOES SAY is that multiple sober people witnessed an intoxicated (more than twice the legal limit)Billy Lane attempt to pass SEVERAL vehicles in a clearly marked NO PASSING ZONE at speeds well over the clearly marked speed limit causing the collision that killed motorcyclist James Morlock. Billy then (being the MAN that he is)refused a breath and blood test at the hospital and had to be forced by law enforcement to submit. After he caused a fellow motorcyclists death, he didn't even have the decency to own up to his carelessness. Instead of being the tough guy that he pretends to be and “plays on TV“...he was a weasel!
DON'T TRY TO MAKE IT FUZZY! James Morlock was doing what most of us do everyday, He was riding a motorcycle in his own lane and he was killed by a drunk driver that was doing what he does everyday... Being an idiot! . END OF STORY! Have some respect for the VICTIM and his family and stop trying to make this out to be James Morlocks fault. It's easy to point out that James Morlock had been drinking, He didn't have an opportunity to refuse a blood test nor does he have the opportunity to defend himself to you here and now because someone killed him, HE’S DEAD! The remarks that you have made are sickening and the cowardly actions of Mr. Lane are repulsive. He may squirm his way out of this situation with his high dollar lawyers and their smoke and mirrors but eventually we’ll all have to face judgment with God and I’m guessin’ that Billy is in for some big trouble on that day if he doesn‘t get a spine.
I lost an acquaintance last year in a head on collision. The other person was possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol. From her reputation it was something other than falling asleep at the wheel. The person that hit her received three years in prison. You guys probably never met the person that Billy hit, or Billy and you are taking it much harder than anybody around here that knew the woman that got killed.
