I came in on a reply with quote because I can't figure out how to just reply with my own post.
Anyway, I'm an old TS fan, who never thought to become a regular on this message board, but today while browsing and I saw this particular thread, I had to come on. I've been watching TS for several years now, I started when I live in my last apartment, and that was over 5 years ago, so I feel like an oldtimer.
I miss Vern's lovely rooms, but I can catch him over on HGTV, and of course I can get my daily dose of Carter also over there.
I also stopped watching regularly when Paige left, she was half the fun of the show, and it seemed like Doug and Hildi took over, and THAT I did NOT like. I have never been a fan of Doug, he is not my idea of God's gift as he seems to think he is, and regardless of her feathers and straw, Hildi is an egotistical spoiled brat. Between the two of them, what they did on the Black and White show was horrendous. It was obvious those two men had lovingly decorated their home, and for them to go in and totally wreck it was criminal. The people go on TS with a feeling of fun, but to intentionally ruin their walls and cause many homes to need a complete drywall replacement is a waste of money and maybe those people cannot afford such an undertaking. I'm always curious if TS pays for the re-construction after Hildi has ruined it. I love Frank and I love John (the one who won the contest), and I like Edward's new look. Laurie is okay, but not a favorite, and that ditzy blond who was always barefoot and in skirts was another whack job. Let me not forget darlin' Haber (Haver?), never could figure out what it is, but he's certainly good looking and sexy enough to hold my interest, just wish he was on screen more.
Now with Miss Paige back, hopefully we'll get back to normalcy.
