Its plain and simple. When Hildi is on the show, I will not watch it. Rubber rings, straw, feathers, cardboard fabric holders! Its shock value and that's not why I watch a design show. I hope the advertisers take notice. When Hildi is on, I don't watch!

Plain and simple for us too. If Hildi is on (or Goil), we change the channel. I know they need to keep it interesting by picking some people who are a bit more offbeat but they're waaaaay too far out and just detract from the whole idea that the show was created for. To help homeowners and viewers!

I have always liked Hildi, she's different, creative and talented. I think her wall ideas are great! The only one I draw the line at is the hay on the walls, (I have allergies) otherwise it's nice to see objects used in a new decorative way. Hildi......keep up your great work!!!!!!

I was just thinking about the hay episode with Hildi from along time ago and came on to find out if anyone knows what happened after that show? Did the producers pay to get it fixed or did they just say leave it, they agreed to the show?

I'm not much of a Hildi fan either, but not so much because of her crazy, off-the-wall (or on-the-wall) designs - those actually spark some creativity and make you think outside the box. More for the way she seems to have no regard for the wishes and likes of the homeowner.
She tends to think she is the only one who has any taste because she is a "designer".

I feel the same way. Hildi has got to go. The only reason they keep her is because so many people to dislike her designs. I wish she had to live with the stupid ideas that she does week after week. Her reasoning is always flawed. Her designs would never last any amount of time. It is never practicle for daily use. Please let her go and put us out of our missery. At least dont use her on the shows so
often. I will not watch her any longer either.

I havent watched the show since the first couple because it is ALWAYS Hildi. I cant stand to watch her so I just dont even turn on TS anymore. I am glad to see soo many others feel the same. Maybe we can get the old TS back

Hate her - she ruins the show - she makes it a complete joke

I really feel bad for the homeowners that have Hildi do their rooms. I thought that it was supposed to be a way for the homeowners to reconcile any differences they have. But all it seems to do is make things worse when Hildi is on the show. The homeowners have absolutely no say in anything that is done. I really think that the homeowners should be making the decisions with the designers there to help execute the design.

When other designers do a room I can usually pick up some helpful information. But when Hildi is on, I simply learn what NOT to do. She is just too much ego and not enough talent. What is TS thinking? What are the sponsors thinking about fans changing the channel TV when Hildi is on?

So either way you are learning stuff, why would you want to get rid of someone you are learning from?

Someone should ask Hildi if she'd live in any of the rooms she leaves in her wake. I'll bet not.

Basically she is a joke.
I am an interior design student and every time Hildi designs a room, my classes are buzzing with jokes about how horrible she is.
She is the only designer who disappoints the majority (and a high percentage at that) of the time.
So if almost my entire school thinks she's a joke, and people in these forums think she is a joke...how can the producers keep her on the show??

I'm sorry, you folks are missing the point entirely. Hildi is hot! As a middle age guy, I watch every Hildi episode possible.

I am still watching the reruns -- every episode that Hildi is on she put fabric or sample designs that looks so 3rd rate and claims it comes from Paris. Her design that she puts together has to be done on the spot. She doesn't do any research or listen to the home owners as to what they want. She does exactly what she wants to do. She is pathetic.
