Hi, I've been searching for a while now and haven't turned up much except for information on a BBC commercial for the series. So I am wondering if anybody knows the name of the song in commercial for Planet Earth, which can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XpDc4Knoqw

I know it may not be an actual song but if it is any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I've been trying to find it as well. Of course, the DC is no help. I've been looking on my Rhapsody account, but i'm not sure what genre this would fall under. Anyone have any ideas?

I went to this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigur_R%C3%B3s
& then http://sigur-ros.co.uk/media/dldvideo.php but the song Hoppípolla isn't anything like the Discovery Ch. trailer. The BBC music trailers might be different.

i don't know if everyone is hearing the same song that i am. The one i'm looking for is orchestral accompanied by a massive choir. I've also searched on Yahoo Answers and the same song keeps popping up. I listened to a sample, but it didn't sound the same. Thanks for the links and info.

I hope someone can find this information - I'd buy that music in a heartbeat!

It sounds like it could have been written by Howard Shore, the man who composed the Lord of the Rings scores.

Apparently alot of people have taken to this song. Theres a forum about it on at IMDB.com along with other sites. Someone pointed out that is has been used for a video game trailer as well... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xztPDfhP98o , so it can't be exclusively for DSC. I'm starting to think that its just a short clip specifically for commercials. Lets hope not. Hope this helps in some way.

Can anyone who has the X-Men 3 soundtrack check the track "Phoenix Rising"? Based on the 30-second clip at Amazon, I think this might be the music (though the amazon clip may be later in the piece).

(based on info from the same discussion at http://adtunes.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35086&st=25&#entry274134)

i just listened to that entire track. Although it is ochestral and has a choir, its not the one we're looking for. I went to the forum you mentioned and someone claims that the song is on Itunes, but doesn't know the title....sketchy

I recognized the music immediately, but I'm not sure if the source I have is the original or not.

http://download.gametrailers.com/gt_vault/t_prey_e36.wmv

That's the E3 2006 trailer for a game called "Prey." The music is in the second half of that trailer or so, and it sounds a lot like Jeremy Soule's (the game's soundtrack composer) work, but it's not on either disc of the soundtrack (but the music from another trailer is), nor is it actually featured in the game. If I was a betting man, I'd say it's his and he wrote it for the developer, but I can't guarantee it.

"The music you're looking for is:

APM Music - Epic Scores - Adventure 1 - 13. The Time Has Come (A)

Thanks to Daneimp @ Soundtrax 6.0

Unfortunately APM doesn't release its music commercially"

Hello, im new to this but i have the song thats played in the planet earth trailer. Yes it is called " The Time Has Come". If anybody wants it all they have to do is give me a way to upload it to the web for you guys to download it. Or you can just download this little recorder that records the sound that your computer is playing. Its free and it is called Mega Sound Recorder. After you download and install it just go to www.apmmusic.com/myapm/main.php. Then click on libraries and cover art on the left. Click "Epic Score". Then go under Epic Adventure One. Then scroll down to number 13 and click the little green music icon and it will start playing. There are a bunch of other cool tunes on there too, especially if you like that epic music. Anyways, start up Mega Sound Recorder, set everything up the way you want it and then hit record. After hitting record, start the song "the time has come" and let it play all the way through. There you have it, your own recording of that amazing song. Best part is, you can record it any quality you want so the quality isn't crappy.

Alright. Hopefully I'm not too late on this thread. I have been searching for every loophole I can try for the past several hours trying to get my hands on "The Time Has Come". I've got to admit that Epic Score is pretty strict about how they release their music. I don't have Itunes, I tried the audio recorder and it doesn't work nor can you download mega sound recorder at all, and the wikiupload pages are blank when opened. Can someone PLEASE email me a download link of the song to the_witness000@hotmail.com? I know it's a cheesy sounding email adress, but it's really old and I don't feel like putting my main adress out there for everyone to spam.

THANK YOU SOO MUCH TO WHOEVER CAN DO THIS FOR ME!!!
