The fantasy bike episodes have just aired in the UK. I think in the third episode, jnr and and snr had a massive argument and the camera crew got sent out. The next day there was a big hole in the door. Does anyone know what they were arguing about at all

whatever all was said must have been horrible. their arguments are ugly enough already so it must have really been bad. I cant imagine the camera crew just leaving from being asked so I bet sr or jr got very ugly with them before they decided to leave.

sr said they did enough couch time for their problems already, it doesnt show so I wish they'd get more couch time. I hope everything works out for them. theyve been better lately looks like.

Father/Son teams aren't the best teams because this is the man who changed your diaper, wiped your butt, threw you the first pitch, picked you up threw you over his shoulder where you promptly fell asleep while drooling on his shirt..

Next Scene: Dad Im the best bike builder and I'm the reason we're a success..

Dad: Is my boy kidding me.. I mean this boy is my son, I can't possibly let him authoritize me... Oh well I guess I'm going to have to cut the sleeves on my t-shirt, curl some weights, get my veins pumped up.. then I'll scream at Paulie til he either cries or walks away.

Paul Jr.: I need psychotherapy.
Dad: I need another house and boat for weekends.
Mikey: I need to diet, move away from the family and hope there's enough time left in my life to turn my personality around 360.

Vinnie: Working with this family is like being in a vangogh painting deepressiinnggg~~~!!!!

Cody: I can't believe I'm in school, learning to fix a bike.. wasn't I learning at OCC. I thought these 'experts' could have taught me more than anyone~! dang..

The End.

Actually, and I got this from an inside source, the reason for the big fight and Sr. breaking down the door was because he sent Jr. out for coffee and instead of getting Sr. his usual cup of joe, Jr. made the mistake of getting him decaf.

I remember that episode too...from the way that Sr. was describing it, I was wondering if Jr. might not come back this time....but we all know that he did...that was one massive hole in that door..big enough to put jr's head through....makes ya wonder what really went on.

The hole in the wall may not have anything to do with the argument - we all know how destructive they can be even when they are having fun. Actually I think that they are more verbal than physical when they disagree.

If it didn't, then that's a funny coincidence cos it was serious enough to send out the camera crew. Roll Eyes

Darn it all, I missed that episode! Their fights never seem to escalate to that point but sending out the film crew does not bode well.
I think it's got to be tough for a Father/Son team. I've worked for family owned businesses in the past and its not always pleasant.

The hard part is keeping your family life out of the business. I've worked for my ex-stepfather ( yeah I know...) and it was a b*tch. Luckily, I don't work with him anymore.

Actually lillian was right. It had nothing to do with an argument. It was nothing more than the punch line to a joke.

The arguments actually are what made this show in the beginning. When the first show aired Sr and Paulie thought they were ruined because they aired a big argument between the two.

It turned out they received really big ratings because of it. That is why they air the arguments between them. And they are not uncommon between father and son teams at least that is what one of my sons-in-law tells me. And he ought to know he used to work with his dad.

Anyway, the arguments have gone from just blow hards by Sr. and Paulie getting his remarks in where he can to really bad arguments recently.

The one where the camera crew was asked to leave must have been extra bad because the next morning Sr still looked shaken and I don't think he is that good of an actor to be acting. He looked like he didn't know if Paulie was coming back; and he was going to have to make do with the rest of that bike.

Luckily Paulie had already designed most of it. And luckily Sr and Paulie resolved their issues. So far at least on camera they have been getting along but I imagine we haven't seen the last fight. Hopefully it just won't be so bad! We still need some more 'voice over' NAPA commercials!

Paulie will keep coming back because he knows where the gravy train stops. He said in one episode that he's never worked for anyone but his dad. Most other employers would have canned him a long time ago.

I worked with my dad for 13 years and we never talked to each other the way Jr. and Sr. do. Nor do a lot of fathers and sons I know that work together.

I knew of a father/son working arrangement that was worse than what you see with Senior and Paulie. The sad thing about it is, they never resolved their issues and the dad died before they worked things out. I can't really see something like this happening between the Teutuls. I could be wrong of course though.

As far as Paulie acting like that with another employer, he probably will never have to work for someone else. However, if he had worked for someone else he probably would never acted out in such a manner. Both father and son know what buttons to push and they obviously have other issues, so fight they will.

Actually I think that Paulie would score off Sr better by not fighting with him. That's what I did with my Dad, my brother didn't realize this and he and my Dad got into worse fights than we have watched on this show. My Dad once told me after he couldn't bate me into a fight that I was no fun!

Actually JR was gone for 3 weeks-but the upside is that they have a better handle on their relationship now.

This is true. And they will not always agree on everything, but I think they realize now that they need each other to keep this business going. Sr is the brains behind the business, and Jr is the brains behind the fabrication and designs. At this point, I think they will need Rick and Vinnie just as much also. It is good to see they seem to be getting a long better.

Sometimes a break is good for people to get their priorities straight. If it took a three week break to bring this about, then I would think it was worth it. These two men have a lot going for them and it would be a real shame to ruin a very profitable business because they let their emotions get in the way!

I agree with you Mouse that Sr is the brains behind the business and Paulie is the brains behind the creative part of the business. And OCC would not be where it is today without both of them. Each has something to add to the business that the other doesn't have. I, too, think that Vinnie and Rick are an integral part of that team.

I enjoy watching how the team works. I think that this is what makes this show great and why people keep watching it. And I think that the show is getting better! I really enjoyed the comedy team of Mikey and Jason in the last episode! It gave me a good laugh!

I actually liked the Piano bike the best. When Mikey was making comments about its cutting edge design, it was almost like he was doing a parody of Paul Jr. when he comments on the designs of the bike. I just got the first three seasons on DVD, so I am enjoying some of the shows from the 1st and 2nd seasons that I haven't seen in a long time. TTYL.
