And I hate to tell you this oldschl but I believe it is the Almighty Calved One that is in charge of apparel..
Which has always raised a question to me.. Paulie is very adamant on how he likes modern technology when it comes to the bikes he builds but yet tends to wear a many OCC t-shirts that say Old School.HMMMMMMMMMM???
Vinnie, your talent is amazing and utterly entertaining. I never thought watching someone run wires through a bike could be entertaining but the skill with which you ply your trade is unbelievable. Though I am not mechanically inclined I enjoy watching those who are. I will continue to watch AC but I will miss your additions to the show and feel that the future of OCC will be detrimentally changed.
Good luck in all that you do and if you ever find yourself in Florida I'll give you one free trip past the radar gun at full speed.
I have been watching the show since the start and watched Vinnie grow into an asset in the company. And for them to let him leave is bad business. He gave so much towards the business and the show it is not going to be the same show any longer.
hi everyone i am new here live in the uk and as you know are miles behind with occ but have been watching them from day one. can you please tell me is this the real vinnie posting on here and as he and cody really left the show as the one i am watching now is where they went to Austrlia but if vin as it will not be the same but i wish him them both good luck for the future
kstom2007, I tend to believe that yes, it is Vinnie and it is Cody's Mom who are posting here. If you look at the registered date of Vinnied and the other posts that he made, it sure seems that we have the real deal. It also makes sense that it would be Vinnie that would understand that the fans made the show work and hence, felt obliged to keep us in the loop as much as possible. We understand that he can't divulge everything as I'm sure that he had to sign some kind of confidentiality agreement when he hired on.
Mark my words. Rick will be leaving anywhere between today and the year 2050... No, seriously though, I believe he will be seeing the writing on the wall and Sr. will make him clean it off... No, once again I'm kidding... For real this time, I predict that Rick will be gone soon also. He will either go with Vinnie and Craig OR he may want to stay close to home and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he goes to work with the guys at Gasoline Alley... The next envelope please...
Man, I will miss the look on Vinnie's face when Sr. and Jr. go at it over something dumb. Then they both tried to get Vinnie to take sides with one of them. Poor Vinnie would be caught in the middle looking uncomfortable just wanting to do his work. Who here hasn't been in a situation like that?
Oldscll, I can picture Rick working with the guys at Gasoline Alley. It seems to me that the style of bikes they fabricate would be right up Rick's Alley (sorry about that, I couldn't help it) This is not to imply that Rick should go to work there, or that I wish he would leave OCC, etc...just saying
Hey Vin......When you get time, come on down to Florida and hang out with us for a while...bring the family, we can ride, and I can tell you......There are a BUNCH of bike events going on down here ALL THE TIME.
Let me know...we've got room.
...It's Bike Heaven down here, you won't believe it. We're in Port Charlotte, give me a shout!
P.S. WHATEVER the reason you left OCC, we know you'll do alright, just don't forget that we're behind you.........I WILL miss the Vinnie and Mikey show tho......LOL
Oldscll, I can picture Rick working with the guys at Gasoline Alley. It seems to me that the style of bikes they fabricate would be right up Rick's Alley (sorry about that, I couldn't help it) Big Grin
Up Rick's Alley, you punster you! LOL. But you have a point there wit. On top of your head. LOL. No, I kidd I kidd. But Rick WOULD REALLY fit right in with the old school style that Gasoline Alley is so famous for...
He really would fit in with the old school stuff but haven't they got some "old school" tank fabricating genius of their own????
And how far would he have to drive there? I'm not very familiar with locations back there. I realize he is willing to drive since he already drives as much as 2 hours one way but there are limits.
While Gasoline Alley might or might not be Rick's best bet; since the other board has Vinnie posting that he is going to open his own bike shop, it would appear that Vin could use a excellent tank and all round metal fabricator like Rick!!!!
I have watched the show from the pilot episode like alot of people. Recently the show in my opinion has lost alot of its attraction. I think if you really look at some of their bikes that they biuld they are not that great. Look at other shows like biker build off, the bikes created on this show are just as good, if not better than OCC bikes. Look at the people of OCC. lately all you see is the Tuetels showing off their wealth that has been generated, I dont know about you guys but I didnt start watching AC to see it turn into CRIBS, I dont care about SNR's timber palace or JNR's rolling hilled property or the flash cars they drive or their 30 or 40 bikes SNR owns. I tuned in to watch the comedy, fights and the builds. I was really sh*ted when they built the australian bike, what a piece of SH*T, this is suppose the represent Australia, give me a break, I am Australian and I ride, that bike wouoldnt even pass ADR compliance, you couldnt even see over the bars. Bring back the old AC, Those last minute deadlines, actually fabricating something instead of using a machine, Paul Jnr actually building something, Paul Snr getting out of the office and doing something instaed of sitting on his ass.
To Vinnie, best of luck if you leave. I am away from my girls alot and I know what it is like to work long hours away from family. You were one of the reasons I watched for so long, good luck.
Sherry, traveling into NYC where Indian Larry's shop is and traveling to Orange County is a world of difference. Small hamlets with no traffic vs to a city of 9 million people in 27 square miles!
Gotcha, bmacsys, its sorta like driving into LA or Orange County vs driving out to Cochella Valley (Palm Springs).
I live in Riverside and you wouldn't catch me driving in to Los Angeles and rarely do I ever go into Orange County. However, I do drive into the Cochella Valley weekly where I stay with my youngest daughter for the days I work in one of my other daughter's accounting office. The area is much less inhabited with less traffic; except in the winter when the snow birds arrive. But even then its not too bad; not like L.A. or Orange County!!!
Vinnie did what he felt he needed to do for himself and family. The boat was going by and had left.So he is making his own boat and sailing it.GOOD LUCK !!!
Here's my guess on why Vinnie left: OCC has become very successful in large part to Vinnie's contributions, but Vinnie hasn't been compensated correspondingly or appropriately.
While Paul and Paul enjoy lots of new toys, huge estates, and fast cars, I watched Vinnie tearing-up floor tiles on his track house (no offense). Paul Sr. is a shrewd businessman and has made moves to keep it all in the family. Vinnie has been loyal and patient. But instead of continuing in a starring role, Vinnie's been relegated to more of a supporting member/builder. As the success of OCC grew, and after waiting in vain for his piece of the pie, Vinnie realized he wasn't a Tuetel and that piece wasn't coming.
I would have to say that a guess is as good as a miss. We will probably never know what really happened, but some things are more than the issue of money.
It could very well be that Vin got a wonderful salary (plus perks), but his family life was suffering or other issues were affecting him.
Let's face it--when you have a family that's at home while you are running around on all kinds of trips it can be very wearing.
As well as the fact that it can probably get real old to have a camera in your face for four years.
No I don't think Vinnie was mistreated financially. But like you dll, I'm just guessing and that too is good as a miss...
I will just say that we need to remember we only see 20 minutes of highly edited and orchestrated lives of all these guys.
all i have to say is do unto others as you have them do unto you.rick and vin have done what they needed to for occ has occ returned the favor? has paulie ever built a bike without rick n vinny? hey mikey your cool and funny. like to have you over for b b q on day to meet the family invitation open. paul in texas
all i have to say is do unto others as you have them do unto you.rick and vin have done what they needed to for occ has occ returned the favor?
Rick and Vinnie are/were employees. They are/were paid to do their job.
Bikerhart, it is obvious to anyone with half their brain actually working that this is largely a money issue. I can promise you that Vinnie and Cody were not properly compensated. And I will go so far as saying they were not compensated within their legal right. When everything is said and done, you will have a completely different opinion of the Teutels. Before you reply with some nonsense, remember my posts. There is something quite ravenous going on at OCC. At it has to do with Sr. greed. Wait and see....
My friend Bikerhart has a full brain and to insinuate otherwise is rude. We can all have our opinions as to what caused Vinnie and Cody to leave, but other than Vinnie saying he was not happy there, that's all we have. It's been said that we be privy to the "facts" in due time.
Your loyalty is noted but has no merit. My feelings towards him do not stem from his response. Despite it being nothing more than a waste of keystrokes and server space. Bikerhart can't handle anyone's opinion but his own, he refutes things that are obvious, he dances around facts that he continually cannot aline. And I have had my share of smug, unintelligent, thoughtless and aggressive responses from him. Guess what??? This is a forum, not the SS. I do not need your nonsense either. In two months when everything I have said comes to light, I will be the one laughing. Which I am doing right now. I can see you wear the same suit as him. If you really believe the only "facts" we have is Vinnie's response by ADMITTING he was not happy working at OCC, than you cannot possibly be a "real fan". If you think posting on this forum makes you more of a fan than myself, than I cannot convert you to think otherwise. I am, and I have seen EVERYTHING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED CONCERNING OCC. Are you aware of what has been going on at OCC in the last two years? Where do you live? Do you check the news, read the paper, listen to all the "here say" in the air regarding OCC? The writing is on the wall. The story of OCC has gone on a tragic tangent to nowhere. Do not follow them there....
I don't consider myself anything more than a casual fan. If I were a "Bullwinkle" (Mr. know it all), perhaps I could come on here and pretend to be the all knowing. My "real fan" status is wearing thin as of late and your not helping.
Yup! I'm buying Trotta. Vinnie, it must have been a difficult decision to leave OCC man, very difficult indeed, like separating from a family man. Took alot of guts I'm sure. Missing people I'm sure. Man only time heals wounds like that. Good Luck man, I wish you and your family the very best, every day is a better day, no matter, you have to wake up. I'm not the prayin' type but if I were, you would be in them. Later man. Good things happen to those who are good, screw the rest.
Hey Vinnie sorry to see you go, but I do understand the difference between BBQ'd and unhappy. It's too bad to, many times I saw you left holding the bag to finish a project and held responsible if something wasnt done or the shop was messy.
At one point it seemed like you were being pulled into the family mix. Now I dont know all the crap that went on, but as a viewer looking in, you would have made a excellent shop/project supervisor because you got stuff done.
I dont know if Sr. or Jr. read these post or answer to them but I love the show and yes fame was a train that could not be stopped but I feel like you should have been compensated for your hard work and dedication with a promotion or stock options ect..but again many of those types of details are not for us to see.
Again bro, I am sad to see you go and the show has changed because of it. I hope to see your work on the network soon or in maybe a biker build-off or with American Hot Rods making some monster cars
Smokingarthur, you are right. It is pretty obvious this is a money issue with Cody and Vinnie leaving. That being said you don't have to be rude. It just undermines everything you say. Everybody on this forum is pretty polite. No need to insult anyones intelligence to get your point across.
Sherry, traveling into NYC where Indian Larry's shop is and traveling to Orange County is a world of difference. Small hamlets with no traffic vs to a city of 9 million people in 27 square miles!
The Indian Larry Legacy shop is in Brooklyn not NYC so unless Rick is here on the island which I highly doubt because I recall him saying he had horses our friend Rick would have to cross two bridges to get to work and either drive in and around Manhattan or thru Manhattan..Your talking a REALLY long commute..

Ok Artie, let's see your proof. By the way, if you spent any time with your information you won't reveal, then you would also know I'm not a man.
This message has been edited. Last edited by: bikerhart,
I'd have to agree with biker, where's the proof? I would like to see (read) it. I would also have to agree that your rudeness makes you come off as petulant. Kind of makes me think you are stomping your feet as you speak. If you are so "in the know" then please enlighten us all with your all emcompassing knowledge of all things OCC.
I don't think it matters one way or the other why Vinnie left. He said himself he was unhappy. End of story. Speculating won't get you answers, just rumors.
Perhaps, artie, if you paid attention to these boards you would know that bikerhart is a woman not a man! Sorry biker I know you beat me to it but I couldn't stop myself.
But he was talking about all these places where we should read/listen to the gossip to get the "real" facts and he couldn't figure out that you were a woman!
