I already loved Johnathan but when he showed compassion for the bird my heart sank!! The incident with his son and then talking about the fighting with his ex was really sad but when he showed compassion for the bird it showed what a wonderful person he really is!! Love ya Johnathan XXOO

Yeah, I liked him before, but the thing with the bird made me like him even more. He seemed genuinely sad when Squawky was lost.

When his son was telling him how hard it was without him being around when he was little Johnathan said if I was around more you would have just heard us fighting! It was really sad!

I like Johnathan too but he appears to be a big kid, if you know what I mean! His compassion for the bird was commendable but after what his son said to him I get the sense that his priorities are not in the right places.

Maybe John knew what Scott was saying was true?

Get Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand's book "Time Bandit Two Brothers, the Bering Sea, and One of the World's Deadliest Jobs". They discuss their childhood, personal relationships, etc. In the book it describes how Johnathan always tried to save wildlife that was in harms way.

Sad but true. my parents divorced when I was five but I still remember the fights. It takes a while but when your mature you realize that its better not to subject your kids to that. I am proud of my mom for leaving and not subjecting us to years of fighting. Scott will realize that someday. he just has to be ready. And I am proud of Jonathon for trying to have a relationship with his son now. People always say too little too late but really at least he is trying.

Wow... um, I like Jonathan too but not THAT much to say the words "Hot" or "Sexy". I think he's "cool" and definately a big softie. He has that tough looking exterior but I think it just hides how sensative he can be to things. I think he's more scared of himself than what he leads on. If he makes bad decisions it effects everyone around him and I think that makes him feel guilty alot. His fooling around, risk-taking, kid-like nature is both a good thing and a bad thing depending on which way you look at it. At least he's not a stiff person with no personality or a hot-headed ....ard who has no ounce of humility. I like the fact that he is very connected to nature.

TBA, You definitely could not label Johnathan as stiff or hot headed! He is just a big kid sometimes which I think is good for this line of work, he keeps it fun out there but he also has his serious side that he showed when the ship was in the ice pack, Captain Johnathan was definitely at the helm.

The only thing hotter than Jonathan is Mike Rowe! They'll all be in Gloucester soon to film After the Catch, can't wait to see them in person!
