I would like to see what else they fish for. This year we were introduced to Brown Crab. Last year (I think… don’t freak out if I’m wrong,) Sig was fishing for Cod.

I would like to see behind the scenes when the get the boat ready. Also there is never or limited info on how deep the crab are or other data. I am sure you guys can come up with some to get some underwater cameras. It was said today, that it took 6 weeks to prepare the boat but we never see any info on this thx

I would love to see a timeline of the captains' year--time preparing, time at sea, other things they fish for, time off, etc.

More of Johnathan's jig and Sig's cracking the whip! Also Phil's sons learning the family traditions. They seem to be good workers and good kids.

In Dutch Harbor, I would like to see the processing once the crabs are received from the boats. Also a little around the "town" and talk with the people there about how the show has changed Dutch Harbor.
2nd item: The ASTA tall ships challenge will be starting in early June in Victoria and working its way down to Port Alberni, SeaTac, SF, LA, and ending in San Diego in August. This will be the last major tall ship event on the west coast for a few years and will include the USCG Bark Eagle and other US and foreign vessels as well as a full complement of smaller 100 to 200 foot vessels. How about putting some of crab crew on the tall ships and let them play at something different. Will there be time between crab seasons? Capt. Erik Berliner

How about a little game similar to Cash Cab, but call it Cash Crab and test the locals knowledge of the crabbing industry? A man on the street kind of thing. That might be fun.

Everything. LOL.
I, too, would like to see more about the fishermen's family, the ones who make sure the names of those who die on The Bering Sea are honored and those who have to live with the day to day grind without their spouse/son/father.

I agree with you. I would love to see what the guys are like outside of fishing. These men are like a tv family you don't personally know, so why not get to know them? An hour biography of each boat's crew would be very nice, atleast it can give them a bigger title, then just fishermen. Family men are what most of them are. So lets show other obsticals they go through off season.

/vote bloopers..
Also, I'd really love to see an in depth tour of a few of the boats.. to give us land lubbers a better idea of the layout and living conditions. We get the general drift, but I've looked and looked and haven't been able to find anything close to what I'd like to see.
Maybe a video walkthrough of the boats?? Thanks

I Have noticed that they had TVs on all the boats. I always wonder if they ever got a chance to catch the show while at see (if they have any free time).

LAST NIGHTS EPISODE, TALKED ABOUT A MAN THAT DIED FROM FALLING FROM THE TOP OF THE CAGES, BROKE HIS NECK..........HIS BROTHER IS NOW ON A CRAB BOAT.
WHY DIDN'T WE HEAR ABOUT THIS??? WAS IT THE WIZARD?
WITH ALL THE CAMERA'S, I'M CURIOUS TO WHY WE ARE NOW JUST HEARING ABOUT THIS MAN'S DEATH..........NOT TO MENTION, THE DANGERS OF CRAB FISHING???
MY ATTRACTION TO THE SHOW WAS "REAL TV". WHEN THE SERIES FIRST STARTED, WE SAW IT ALL, TRUTH ON THE DECK.
NOW, I'M NOT SURE IF I AM WATCHING THE REAL THING OR ALOT OF STAGING, ACTING, PLAYING TO THE CAMERA.
I WANT THE "REAL" DEADLIST CATCH BACK..........THE FAKE CRAP SUCKS.
I WANT THE REAL PUT BACK IN "REALITY".
IF NOT, YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE SO MANY FANS THAT LOVE YOUR STATION.

Mary Lynn, I am sorry to hear about your loss. I'm new to this site, but a huge fan of DC. Came upon it by accident and now am addicted and have watched every season so far several times.
This season seems to have a "bad juju" feel about it. I'm worried about everyone out there. It is such a dangerous job that they do so people like my husband can get his "Crab fix".
God Bless everyone who is out there risking their lives to fill our stomachs...
