i figured they would say what he was doing but they didn't .. at first i thought it was some honor thing where he wasn't worthy to captain in phil's chair or something. I also thought since he's a deckhand that stands all the time, it looked like he wanted to captain the boat standing...
Captain Phil said in last night's chat that Murray simply switched it out for the new chair Phil had on the boat. That his chair was broken in for his butt.
I found the chair switch out strange too, but I hate sitting on other peoples chairs at work too. Like blondangel says, chairs get the individual wear patterns on them and make them uncomfortable for others to sit in. We all have our own individual gluteus maximus!
i thought it was out of recept of phil, but no matter what i think it's great that they show them recept to him i miss him i also like the way he talks to phil's boys like my mom talked to my sister and me when we were little, but with him a big brother that will put u in place if need be.
The truth about the chair is simple..nothing to do with respect. Murray is a clean person and Phil's chair was stinky and dirty...smelled . They had a new chair on the boat and Murray prefered to sit in a clean chair. It's that simple!
