In the Macedonian Zoo there is a chimpanzee named Koko that is living in deplorable conditions and desperately lonely due to having no companionship for an extremely extended period of time. The keepers are aware of Koko's condition and are willing to let him go to a zoo where he would have both better living conditions and companionship. Have contacted a couple of US zoos and written to Animal Planet seeking help, now am asking the Wild Kingdom community for their help in finding a new home for Koko. The Macedonian Zoo is in desperate conditions due to lack of funds and are finding animals dead in their cages, have space problems with already caged animals and willing to release Koko for a better life elsewhere. Good News! Koko the Chimp from Skopje Zoo in Macedonia is being transferred to a great primate sanctuary in the Netherlands called AAP Sanctuary. The zoo signed the release contract last week and we are in the process of the transportation logistics. He is going to be well taken care of and much happier! Thanks for your efforts!
