My husband is a waterman on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, one of the things he does is trap muskrats. This is done in the winter and in the marsh. So not only will it be freezing cold but more than likely a lot of stinky marsh mud will be involved. After trapping the muskrats he brings them home and skins them, quite disgusting and foul especially if you accidently cut into the stomach. The meat is then refrigerated for someone to buy and eat, and the skins are put on "stretchers" to then be sold to make fur coats etc. The skinning process is bloody and the meat smells so I am sure it would be an entertaining job to watch.
