Mostly in Northern California, there is a chain of self-service auto dismantlers called Pick 'n' Pull.

I recommend it because well, they're a junk yard, it's gonna be dirty: Preparing cars by draining fluid and moving cars in and out. But they are also a state of the art facility as far as their organization, preparation and disposal of vehicles. And in a way it's green!

(I have no affiliation other than being a satisfied customer.)

My uncle has an auto wrecking yard just up the street from a Pick N Pull (these businesses tend to be clustered). He buys wrecked cars and cars that don't run; picks up the cars that people donate (all those newspaper ads for charity); dismantles them; sells parts; and finally, strips and crushes them so they can be hauled to the big shredder and the metals recycled.

It may not be as dirty as some other jobs, but I think it would be an interesting show. There's a lot that goes into disposing of old cars. There are also some spectular wrecks -- you may inspire someone to use a seatbelt.
