Gunite Foundry in Rockford, Illinois makes brake drums for trucks & buses. The place produces a phenomenal amount of soot that must be cleaned out daily. The best dirty job in the place is cleaning out the soot from beneath the giant blast furnace. You can only be down there for 15 minutes at a time because of the extreme heat. Very photogenic & very dirty!
