I used to work at USG in stony point NY and know that this is a very dirty job. The plant produces all types of sheetrock 24/7. Although all jobs in the plant are pretty dirty (because of working with slurry and mixing other ingredients together) the mill workers get the dirtiest. They are in charge of grinding the gypsum rock into a powder and the entire mill is covered from top to bottom in a fine powder. They are constantly cleaning and are always covered in dust. I also believe that the making of sheetrock is an interesting job and would be fun to watch on TV.
