How about coming to Maine to check out some of our dirty jobs ... 1. Wild Blueberry harvesting and processing, beginning with the hand-raking (back-braking, hot August work). Actually, spring field burning is probably dirtier. 2. Boat building. Whether it's wood, fiberglass, or steel, boats of all kinds are built in Maine and it's sweaty, dirty work. 3. Campsite & trail maintenance in Baxter State Park. It may not sound particularly dirty, but the black flies can be killer. Just a few thoughts.
