Have Mike work as an OR orderly when there is a dirty case. A Dirty case or infected operation is when it includes those in which bacterial inflammation occurs or in which pus is present during surgery, and potential for infection for the next surgery is high. The OR orderly has to wipe down the whole operating room wearing an operating room gown.
Rituals applied to dirty cases include placing a germicide-soaked mat outside the OR door, allowing the OR to stand idle for an arbitrary period after cleanup of a dirty procedure, and using two circulating nurses/Orderly, one inside the room and one outside.
The process takes about an hour or so depending on the size and scope of the operations, the operating room and the degree of infectino or potential contamination.
