I live in NC now but worked for five years on tobacco farms in CT. Few people know that they even grow tobacco in CT but from planting, weeding, suckering, first picking, sewing and drying, it's definitely a dirty job. The irony is this dirty job yields the highest end cigar wrappers in the world. Nothing could be better than literally dragging through rows of mud, getting your hands covered in yellowish green tobacco tar, then covered with aphids and the occasional tobacco worm sighting only to know the fruits of your labor will go to some rich guy's nicotine fix. Christian Brothers Tobacco, if it's still around, would make a great episode, but they may be out of business by now so Brown's tobacco would do. Hopefully, I'll see this on next season.
