Hey Mike my name is Joel Raven and I'll be collecting sediment cores in Tampa Bay from July 17th to August 22nd. The job involves vibrating a metal tube into sediments on the sea floor and pulling the mud and sand out, then analyzing them in a lab. You could even do a grit to slime ratio by putting the terribly smelling mud through your teeth to see if it is slimy or gritty.
