My husband is a chain ape, CA I-80, Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Think of staying up 72 hours straight, working in a near white out blizzard with cars crashing all around you and the panic level high of travelers. He comes home smelling like road grease & sweat socks, and his hands look like raw meat from the road rash... He's been known to fall asleep at stop signs on his way home from fatique. It's horrible FREEZING, dangerous work - (only reason ANYone does it is because it can be well worth it financially).
