Hello Mike. I'm Jacqui. I live in Lakeport, CA. Lakeport is on the shores of Clearlake - California's largest natural lake. So, here in our fantastic lake we have this cute little aquarium plant, you may have heard of it.... Hydrilla. Some moron dumped his (or her) fish tank into the lake and infested it with a plant that is taking over our lake. Not only is it spindly and feels like fingers reaching for you when you swim, but DANG if it doesn't make for crap fishing. HELP MIKE! HELP! I've watched the crews through the county and UC Davis extension and HOLY HANNAH! the muck they pull up with the weed. EEEEEWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEE. Fish poo, pop cans, beer cans, bottles, car parts, just about ANYTHING you can think of. Especially since all runoff from around the county, because as we both know, water runs downhill, along with anything that happens to be in it, including mercury (there used to be a mercury mine in Lake Co, as well as a gold mine...) So. Here's the deal. You come to remove hydrilla (and are successful doing so!) and I will BBQ for you and your crew. Hope this is a yucky enough job for you. Welcome to Lake County, Mike. Welcome.
