In Saint Petersburg Florida, there is an annual summer event called MUDWARS. It is run by TASCO, a division of the City of St Petersburg Recreation Department. The event takes approximately 1 1/2 grueling weeks of set up. A minimum of 5,000 sandbags, 10 8-ton dumptrunks of soil, 8 firehoses, 30 concrete road barriers, bike racks, tents and trailers go into the making of a two-day MUD WAR. 32 teams of 10 compete per day in an all out 6-hour competition for cash prizes.
