Calf or colt pulling. I have participated in pulling infant horses, in the mud, in the slop, with the afterbirth on you, when the birthing process stalls out and the mare becomes somewhat testy, and tries to get up, and you have to hold her down and keep her hydrated because she was dehydrating rapidly and the vetrinarian was working on one end and I was having to hold the mare down on her side by sitting on her neck and keeping her calm. Yes, even sedated, it was an interesting task, though rewarding.
