Maybe you have heard of this group already, being from California and a history buff. The SCA is the Society for Creative Anachronisms. They re-enact the 6th through 16th centure daily life. The job I propose is a heavy arms fighter. You get hot, sweaty, and if it rains like it does here in Virginia, you get very muddy.
