Mike, I'd like to invite you and your crew to Fireball Truck Nite. This is an event that we hold once a week from mid-May through the end of September. It is a hugh off-road event that attracts about 200 trucks and jeeps playing and about 2500 spectators every week. Go to fireballtrucknite.com to see more. This will be our fifth season of this. We feature three big mud pits (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly), the Tug-O-War, Mud Drags, Rock Crawl, Insane Terrain, Teeter-Totter, and the Nine O'Clock Long Jump, Plus monthly special events like Demo-Derbys. All fun, all dirty. The job I'd like to offer you is chaining trucks that are stuck in the mud so we can pull them out. Sounds easy enough until you see how deep the mud is and how big the trucks are. You actually become part of the show. The spectators enjoy seeing our guys hooking the trucks. In some cases we have to hook our guys and pull them out! We've lost alot of boots and the occasional pair of pants to the mud. There's also the flagman for the Mud-Drags (you get pelted with mud), the flagman for the Tug-O-War (you get pelted with smoke and burning rubber), and the marker for the Nine O'Clock Long Jump (splashed with more mud...and exploding car and truck parts). That's not the only dirty part either. The preperation for the night's events starts early in the day and involves the making of the mud as well as many other dirty jobs. If you're interested, please contact Joe Fire @ fireballtrucknite.com or better yet, call at 330 506 9639. Thanks, and I promise you it's a dirty, but very fun job.
Mike, I'm sure we can get Ford to sponsor your visit. We have theme nights throughout the year like Ford nite, Jeep nite, Chevy nite and Dodge nite. Ford nite would be perfect for you. fireballtrucknite.com shows the event but not really the job. Of course that's not really what we like to post in the gallery but believe me, our workers get very dirty.
i have seen this first hand. going into 4 foot of very thick mud to hook up a lots of stuck or broken trucks for a tow out. dont forget to help find the driveshaft the last guy just lost in the deep pit. this would be a great place in ohio for you to visit.
Mike, you should really consider doing this show! I am a member of a club we call 'Big Rubbers Offroad' and we go to this show every week. I have witnessed more than one man get stuck in the ugly pit trying to hook some of the big rigs that get stuck. These workers really are the unsung heroes of the event. They swim through the mud to rescue fallen bumpers, tires, driveshafts, and occasionally passengers that can't wait to be pulled out and decide to try to walk to dry ground. Thats just the mud pits! Rock spotters, tug of war judges, mud drag flagmen, and even the aftershow cleanup crew get their share of the mud, grease, and fallen parts. Send your crew to this one you will not be disappointed!
