My husband's job is not only dealing with the daily maintenance of peoples homes, he is also responsible for turning over move out/lock out units into presentable homes for the next residents. Sounds simple right? NO!!!! You would not believe what he comes across on a daily basis! People, on a whole, are pigs! Especially the locked out units. He's found everything from a dead rottweiller in a fridge to an entire bedroom filled with sand being used as a giant litterbox! Besides the rotten food, dead pets, roaches by the hundreds, dentures, and other personal items, ocassionally the dead body is found, usually already starting to decompose. The job also entails jetting backed up sewer pipes, evacuating water from flooded apartments due to plumbing mishaps. This includes backed up toilets! Yummy! So, in short, this job includes a bit of several dirty jobs all rolled into one. And, his complex contains 1500 units, so there is ALWAYS "good" ones! (We are in New Jersey, minutes from Philly.)
