Not only is this job dirty but dangerous too, and we all love to see a bit of danger. We operate our mulch production operation on a land preservation farm located in the heart of Bucks County Pennsylvania just 30 minutes north of Philadelphia. We take in as much of the virgin raw material throughout the tristate area we can get our hands on and throw it into our horizontal Tub Ginders with large capacity Wheel Loaders all day long till it has been ground down 3 times. With debris flying in the air up to 100 feet and several Loaders operating in a small space all at the same time, when our material is at capacity just before our busy season begins in early March, things can get a bit hairy in the yard. After the grinding process we then take our Triple Ground product and Dye it Black, Brown or Red depending on the volume demand for each particular colored mulch. It doesn't stop there either. Once we have used the dye in the totes we then have to clean the remaining dye out with a fire hose so that the totes can be recycled or reused. That operation can cover anyone from head to toe in organic water based colorant, sometimes under freezing conditions. Between the customers coming and going the raw material coming in and finished product going out we can get things backed up very easily. We would love to get Mike Rowe filthy dirty and have some fun afterward jumping the 3 story mulch piles with our many available Quads (ATVs). So come on over and have some great cheesesteaks and get good and Dirty at our Mulch Farm. Thanks.
