ARKANSAS Please include job title, company/organization, city, etc. Must be a specific job, and not theoretical ("plumber" vs. "pipe fitter, Pipe City Plumbers, Silver Spring, AR"). Arkansas ideas only.
Here we do nearly everything there is to do in building a railcar: cold forming of steel, fabrication, welding, grinding, blasting, painting. It's all a hot, dirty, nasty, filthy, job. Some are greasy, some are dusty. I can't think of any jobs that are particularly smelly, though we usually are when we go home. Hope you find this somewhat interesting enough to at least investigate a little further.
Extreme North east Texas, I know its not Arkansas but it is a reall dirty job at a surface coal mine. I work as a technician in the shop and the personalities of every one out there will go great with yours. Would make for a great show. Been watching shows and honestly have never seen you get close to as dirty as you would at this job. I know it's not Ark... just a thought
How about servicing a small fleet of trucks and trailers. You can't touch these things without getting dirty. Then in the afternoon you can help strapping down and tarping a load of steel. If interested contact: Howard's Inc. North Little Rock, AR 800-872-7076 Ask for Howard.
On behalf of Mr. John Ringling North, II we would like to invite Mike and the Dirty Jobs Crew to come to the Kelly Miller Circus for a day and work as a Canvas Boy on our bigtop crew. We erect a 130' by 130' tent that stands 38 and 1/2 feet tall at the top of the king pole and weighs in at 5,000 pounds. The show arrives at 7:00 am and we raise the tent at 9:00 am. Our tent is hand folded and hand laced. The public has always been invited to attend the raising of the tent which takes about 20 minutes for the main poles. Canvas Boys wear more than one hat in the circus, so Mike might be running a spotlight, selling cotton candy, be a prop boy or an usher. We might even let him shovel some pooh so he would feel at home. Kelly Miller plays 200 plus cities and towns in 32 weeks as a fundraiser for local non-profit groups. We will opening March 15 in Hugo, OK then move into TX. By April we will be in Arkansas, at Mountain Home, AR we perform 2 days for the Shriners. We will then move on to MO., IL., IN., OH., WV., PA., MD., NJ., NY., MA., NY., PA., OH., MI., IN., IL., MO., and back to OK to close for the winter. Last fall IL PBS did a half hour show for IL Stories. So guys come on and join a traditional bigtop circus for a day. Please contact our General Manager, Jim Royal at our home office: (580)-326-9229 and be sure to visit our website so that you can see what we are like, be sure to clink on the sponsor link to get an idea of what Mike would be up to.Kelly Miller Circus. You can also contact us at bigtop@kellymillercircus.com

daniel_ff752 mentioned A.R.I in Paragould Arkansas, never been inside but I have heard it's not a pleasant job.
Another factory in Paragould, AR is Emerson Electric. They build motors for washers and dryers, while the front is a fairly clean work area the back of the factory is where all the dirty stuff happens. From high heat to grease and grime, machines break down quite often which is your specialty! It's hot, its dirty, its loud and there's times its hard to breath and just about everything has a potential danger to it.
Ever make it to this small town them are certainly two factory's worth checking into.
Fiberglass laminator at Ranger Boats in Flippin, Arkansas. You gotta love the name of the town!
I'm not employed there, but I took a tour through the facility several years ago, and it is a sticky, stinky place, full of very friendly people. It's right up Mike's alley.
Brooks Grease Service Benton, Ark I am currently employed there and a typical week for me is cleaning out greasetraps taking care of the truck including cleaning it, Cleaning out the tank every so often bout once every other month, then I also Clean out sludge tanks and water settling pits we have 3 of them that hold approximately 12000 gallons each, I also have to help maintain the plant and property. and O yeah i also get called out at all times of the night and day
I have been to Oaklawn for the racing season for as long as I can remember now. It is always packed with people praying for potential luck and the best Rueben sandwich and beer combination anyone could ever dream of. With that comes an insane amount of trash to pick up after the thousands and thousands of people who go to bet. Not to mention: loads of horse crap.
The races begin in January every year and end in April with the Arkansas Derby (I believe). Plus, Hot Springs is an absolutely beautiful, historical place. One of the few places in my home state to truly relax and unwind with 1,000,001 things to do.
