I think Mike Rowe should go visit my Uncle Dennis at his motorcycle shop in Viola Arkansas. My Uncle Dennis and Aunt Kay run a business called Harber's Cycles. They have 3 sons and a daughter. All three sons work in the business. They fix and refurbish motorcycles, atv's, and all kinds of other sports vehicles as well as sell motorcycle parts. They've been in business for over 20 years and are the largest dealer in the nation of antique motorcycle parts. They have acres of motorcycle parts strewn all over their land!! My uncle Dennis and his sons are huge practical jokesters........HUGE!!! They are known all over Viola (Arkansas) for the pranks they pull on people!!
I'm certain that if Mike went to visit, he'd end up with the funniest Dirty Jobs show he's ever had!!! My Uncle Dennis is hilarious!! They all have a really thick Arkansas accent..........which you tend to pick up when you visit.

Hey mike, while you were here for the shortest st. patty's day parade you should have checked out Hot springs packing. I worked there for several years and never came home clean.

hey mike i was at your st.patrick day parade it was the best one i've ever been to i've wrote before to you about kennerly const. inc. we are located right close by hot spring were you are so it would be easy to get to us. we are in contructon and we have on job comming up were we will have to set a pipe in a ditch (a mud filled ditch) and also we have dump trucks that need to be cleaned and also serviced so if you decide to come i hope you will call 501-844-5081

Train repair can be one of the dirtiest jobs around. My husband is the Chief Mechanical Officer, and you would think with that title he wouldn't have to get dirty anymore.....how very WRONG you would be though. There is this AMAZING (can you sence the sarcasm) grease called crater that is used when you do a "truck" job ( that means changing out the wheels of a diesel locomotive ). I first wondered why you would call a type of grease crater....but 4 washing machines later....I now know all too well why it has that name. This job requires much grease, grime, sweat (lets face it In Arkansas and Louisiana where my husband does these jobs it HOT HOT HOT in the summer and even if not that hot...the hard work will make you sweat), and the occasional tears. Come to think of it...the dirty job may be mine....doing the laundry and scrubbing the shower down!! Seriously though it is a DIRTY JOB! I would love to send you some pictures if you are interested. You get to use a large crane....work in the fresh open air ( that is a nice way of putting there is no covering for bad weather so you have to tough it) and well....if you work hard, My husband said he would even buy you lunch....

We grop cotton, soybeans, corn, wheat, and rice. There are quiet a few dirty jobs. The different dirty jobs are mostly from May to August. First, there are grian bins to clean out. These bins are hot, and dusty. You have to get in them and sweep the grain out of the bottom that the auger does not get. Sometimes there is rotten grain along the edge that has to be cleaned off. The main thing is that it is dusty and itchy. I will take a shower at lunch because of the itch. Then, there are the rice fields that have to be taken care of. They are full of water. The levee gates have to be ajusted and pulled. While doing this you are walking around in the mud and encounter snakes, bugs, and sometimes beavers and small rodents. It is a hot and muddy job. That is mostly it except for getting greasy fixing equipment.

Mike I dont know if you plan on comming through Jonesboro Arkansas or not but man have I got the best job for you to try out. I would like to invite you to volenteer with me at the North East Arkanasa Humane Society. This Job is extreamly Dirty and I think you'll apprecatie the poo factor here. You wouldn't imagin that it could be that bad but you know what this is something that you just have to try to understand. We can always use the extra help. Hope to see you soon Mike.

Mike should come to Little Rock Air Force Base and spend a day as a C-130E Loadmaster. I mathmatically balance the planes and over see loading to make sure safety precautions are followed, but it gets interesting when u have interesting or different cargo that requires crawling around on the cargo floor, under power carts or vehicles, in order to restrain it for flight. The planes are old and dirty, and get really hot in the summer (they're like a big metal oven sitting in the sun). By the time you get done running around doing your preflight, and after the loading, you're covered in muddy sweat. We also do airdrop, which involves flying low and slow, following the terrain. Because the planes are hot and the flights are bumpy, alot of people get very air sick, to the point that most C-130 loadmasters just concider throwing up part of their job.
We'd love to have you if you'd like to come see us in action in our dirty job.

Hey, Mike if your looking for a dirty job then I just might have what your after. How about helping service my father's trucks he uses to on a day to day basis to haul steel coils that are turned into the belting for vehicle tires or vegetable cans.

Dear Mike, My son works for ARI and his eyes are usually the only thing that were clean when he came home from building box cars from breaks to the finished product. I know you have done the engines. I promise you won't be cold. Especially if you go during the summer. I'm sure they can find you some good dirt to get into. The problem is that I could never get rid of it after it was on my son's clothing.

You've done the engine, see how they make what the engine pulls. Again, it warmer than where you were before.
