I am irate with the Discovery Channel Network for not producing enough new episodes. I like this show really better than Man vs. Wild. Although I enjoy watching Man vs. Wild this show, Survivorman, seems more real. Since Les films the show himself and doesn't receive help during the 7 days the show just seems more real.

There hasn't been a new episode of this show, Survivorman in eons. When can we see some new episodes of this show or has it been canceled?

Because of nature of these shows they can't be cranked out without taking a major physical toll on Les. He has been working on new shows.

don12, as previously stated, "Survivorman" shows take a huge physical toll on Les, and he needs time between shows to recover, plus allow time for him to be largely involved in the editing side of"Survivorman".

Les's strict "no contact" policy in making "Survivorman" also makes for a limited number of episodes to be produced, plus long durations between seasons, unlike MvW which uses a lot of simulation, large production team, the host staying at a base camp with the film crew and eating/sleeping regularly, while considerably lessening the physical toll and enabling more episodes, it makes for much less realism, plus more time for some useless/needless/dangerous entertainment.

Les has already done one episode (Sierra Nevada)to be shown whenever the 3rd season begins. We are all anxious to see new episodes, but they do take a toll on Him as stated before. Cool

Personally, I'm just glad he still has time for hobbies between his expedition and recovery times.

MvW's new episodes won't air until November. Hopefully, Survivorman will air in September to help fill the void. I love both of these shows, too.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the relies and info. I would imagine doing the show does take a toll on Les. The Discovery Network has promised some new episodes of some shows this Summer. Hope we can see some new episodes of Survivorman. Enjoyed the Alaska Experiment, which Les was on.

i am soooooo glad he is my fam amd i are always saying " we already saw this one 4 times! he should make more" the thing is that it is really expensive to do so he can't do that many.

It takes a toll on Les whenever he does a Survivorman episode, because He is out there alone and doesn't have a crew to find food and water for Him or stay in hotels.....like someone else we know..lol Roll Eyes He's already done two episodes for season 3 and has a few more to do....Can't wait till fall when the new season starts... Cool

Where do you get your inside info on what he's already done ? I want access to it Smile

August is almost over and I'm starting to feel the shakes and agitation for not seeing a fresh SM episode...
