Yesterday my teenage daughter(19yrs)went and got a tattoo it wasn't her first one she got a small one on her ankle when she turned 18. When she told me she got a new one I of course wanted to see what she got I'm thinking she's going to show me something a little bit bigger on her back or hip or side. When she pulled her shirt off I almost fainted. There above her breast and starting right below the collar bone was a huge demon looking skull with great big bat wings(Death Bat) When my head cleared and I was able to focus on it again a lump grew in my throat I couldn't even speak all I could get out was WHY? I have nothing against tattoos they are a form of self-expression for the artist and the person receiving them. My daughter recently had a baby and suffering with PPD on top of this the father whom she was friends with for several years bailed. Her only answer to WHY? was "I just wanted it". This was so far over the top and out of character not getting a tattoo but getting one of a demon skull, with bat wings that stretches across her entire upper chest and it looks like it was pulled of of the back of a 7th graders English folder blown-up and transferred to her chest. She has never been an impulsive girl but I knew at that moment that she had acted impulsively and did not think long enough about what she was placing on her body. Today regret has set in and the realization of what she has done. When I heard how the person who tattooed her told her how hot it would look and it would be very sexy well what I wanted to do to them would put me in prison. Being able to operate a tattoo gun doesn't make an artist. I don't think removing it is an option it would cost at the least 5 grand we don't have and she would have horrible scarring. Any cover up ideas would be appreciated and does anyone know if there is an ink that could be used that is light in color like flesh tone?...and maybe it could be gone over?? I'd rather not post a photo of it on here and embarrass her more but I can be emailed at catnaroun@aol.com if any artist would like to view it and see if they have any ides.

HI, " permanent makeup " cosmectic tattoo inks makes inks that are flesh tone and blu black fix. Most tattoo salon's do not carry this ink but you can find a good inks at Kolorsource , they sell a lot of camofluge inks. It is also a website that sells permanent cosmectics inks. Also there are several creams that you can buy now to fade out tattoos. You can look on ebay and find a couple. I do not know any thing about how well they work, I have never tryed them. I do permanent makeup and tattoo's. I have been told that retonil A will also fade a tattoo. I wish ya'll the best of luck !

Hi! First of all, where you live will determine whether or not the tattoo can be safely, and effectively. There is a treatment that I know of in California, for sure, called an IPL, (Intense Pulse Light) I have seen it used, and the results are, in my opinion, better than the laser treatments available in most areas. Try calling around, maybe someone knows what's up in your area all ready!
