On April 9 I got a small star on the top of my foot near my little toe. It seems to be doing fine with no redness, bumps, etc. but it hasn't started shedding the skin yet or even itching really. I have one other tattoo that I got a couple of years ago. That one is on my lower abdomen and it started peeling in a little over a week. In a couple of days it will be 2 weeks since I got the new one. I am wondering if it seems to be taking longer since it's on the top of the foot. I don't know if that matters or not. I wash it with gentle soap and water in the morning and at night and put fragrance free lotion on very sparingly after each time. I also put on a very small amt of lotion 2 other times during the day. Should I be doing anything different? Can anyone give me an idea of what time frame I might be looking at? I have a tattoo on my foot, and it took longer to heal than any of my other tatoos. It took a couple weeks for it to even started peeling, and it took 3-4 weeks before it was completely healed.

thanks for much for your answer. hopefully it will start to peel soon. i am still putting a very thin layer of lotion on it a few times a day. i hope that is what i should be doing. it seemed like i should til it starts peeling...
