I am completely in awe of Shawn as I know as an African American woman that it is hard to find others of our persuasion who treat animals as family members and have a clear understanding that they have feelings and emotions as well as we do. I have always felt that I liked and trusted animals more than humans anyway (lol). Way to go my brother for standing up for the animals!!!.....They need us!

Yes, he is a true hero.

Shawn is my favorite person on Animal Cops Detroit. He is so caring & gets pissed off whenever anyone treats an animal cruely, abandons them, starves them. The episode where he found this poor young dog out in the snow almost freezing to death & brought it back to be helped just about tore me apart. Keep up the great work, Shawn. Also, kudos to Debbie MacDonald. She is the best. Everyone in Detroit is at the top of my list.

I must say that Shawn...Shawn is one of the hottest men I have ever seen, and I do believe that he is even hotter because of his love of animals!! He is kind and compassionate...I wonder, is he single?

For the longest time I veiwed animal laws and their enforcment as a cup half empty. Shawn changed all that for me. This man exemplifies all that is RIGHT in a society which is generally ambivalent in terms of animal welfare. Thanks to him, and in no small part his fellow officers, I now see the cup as half full.

There is a misconception that folks passionate about the well being of animals wear blinders in terms on not seeing human suffering. I have found the opposite to be true. They care deeply about ALL suffering and simply choose a path in which their skills can be most effective.

My hat is off to Shawn...for choosing correctly the path in which he DOES make a huge difference.

Oh yeah, Shawn is definitely cool. You can genuinely tell that he really cares about his job and really has true compassion for the animals he is rescuing. He seems to be a very nice person and it would be nice if most people were as caring and empathetic as he is.
