i'm not going to say anything that hasn't been said before but... you guys are wonderful!! i also watch the shows where people are hurting each other. but i have more of a reaction watching people hurting animals. i cry for hours and mostly because i'm angry. i will never understand how you keep your cool and don't run these people over when you leave. hearing these people's excuses for why they were abusing the animals makes me think please someone just beat these people on the head. the world would probably be better without them. i remember watching an episode and someone made the statement that if a kitten or puppy were just wondering the streets kids would probably torture it. what happen to feeding them and trying to convince your mom to let you keep it? these animals are so much better than humans because they are abused, shot at, starved, beaten but they will still show you love even to strangers. they can't talk but they speak with their eyes and you can see they are thankful. thank you so much for everything you guys do. because of you i still have a little bit of hope for the human race.

Yes they are great people and I want to become like them and rescue animals.

I don't care if there is no animal cops in chicago but I'm going to try to do something about it!

i did this research once and posted about the two main ones, but don't know where i posted that and haven't the time to do it again.

you might help us understand where you are coming from if you would define what you mean by "animal cops". your understanding of animal cruelty investigations seems to be at a, er, rather primitive level.

Chicago's Animal Care and Control, for example, which you said wasn't what you were after, is in part very much involved in animal cruelty investigations and adoptions stuff. see their web page at
