I used to jump 2'9 courses on a 15.3 hand Thoroughbred mare(lesson horse) 9 yrs old. She had problems and would colic and last July we had to put her down. It's been hard to bounce back because I get the job of riding all of the horses and ponies that have been bad. i just started jumping 2'9 again on a 14.1 pony

no offence but saddle bred horses dont jump..and usually standers go by 3's so there wouldnt be a 5.2 it would be 5.3 im assuming u mean feet becasue that is way to big to be meeters.. unless u mean inches then i can see a saddlebreed jumping that lol

Well the mare I lease is a very green 5 year old. But since I'm only 5 foot and 125 pounds most trainers are like "You can school that little brat!"
So I've schooled:

Braggin' Rites - 14hh Welsh x TB mare over 3'6"
(Pony jumper prospect)

Lets Make Cents - 13.3hh Welsh mare over 3'3"
(Large Pony Hunter Prospect)

Cool Ur Jetz - 13.3hh Welsh geld. over 3'3'
(Large Pony Hunter/ Pony Jumper prospect)

Skippin' Skool - 12.3hh Shet x Pinto over 2'9
(Medium Pony Hunter)

I haven't jumped my guys over anythign over 2'6" in a while, and Mack is too green to go over 2'3". But on horses at the barn, I've ridden a friends Junior Jumper while she was on vacation, and I ended up showing him in the low juniors (around 4'3")

I usually jump around 3' - 3'3" on the current horse I am showing. However I have jumped about 3'6" on a horse who I was trying for the jrs. The horse I am leasing is about 16.3 hh, and the horse I tried was about 15.3.

ive jumped my 10.3 shetland over a 1&half foot jump. his name is Eek Bullet It was pretty cool becuse I was riding with just a bridle and no saddle. im not much into jumping, i like barrel racing in western saddles rather than jumping over crossrails in and english saddle. its true saddle breds cant rally jump to well. I have jumped a tennesee walker over a half foot pole but thats about it. My walkers name is Ginger, she had a baby!!!

We don't really use ft measurements in South Africa anymore, so here goes. I have jumped 1m20 on a 14.3hh partbred arab, when I was still young and very stupid ;-). I am now tinkering along in the 90cm to 1m classes.
As for Saddlebreds not being able to jump, I competed on a purebred American Saddlehorse called Nightflight in open eventing. One of our top eventers in this country is also a saddler. I think we need to be careful when saying a specific breed "doesn't jump". Flight was never trained to do 3-or 5-gaited Saddler shows, he was english schooled from day one, so he obviously never read the book that said he shouldn't be able to jump. After I sold him on, he competed and won in power jump competitions against thorougbreds and warmbloods. I was told that Arab don't jump either, I competed successfully on a purebred spanish/crabbet through childrens and juniors.
