I really think that the producers need to take a good look at "The Vagabond Chickie" Athena in Deerfield Beach, Florida www.vagabondchoppers.com
She owns and builds at Vagabond Chopper Co.- I sold my (always breaking) texas chopper right after I spoke to her before the holidays. I gave her my deposit and a few weeks later I saw a full page feature in the Fort Lauderdale News about Athena- I was happy I had her build me a chopper. My bike is like her -a one of a kind. I got to watch my chopper come to life in front of me. She made the bars welded tabs designed and fabbed a gas tank and I was suprised at the end when I got the bill, it was less than I was quoted. When does that ever happen? Today I went for my 10,000 mile service- I got about 9,000 on it but better earlier than later, as Athena says. I have had absolutly no-not one problem since the day I rode it out of her shop. When does that ever happen, these days?
I am sure the viewers would tune in to see her, she is the female version of Billy Lane- she has personality and pride in the quality of work she puts out. She is well known in the community, and well respected by all who have the opportunity to meet her. She is a real human being, but I would never want to piss her off. She rides a Bada** rigid with custom 20 inch apes ONE HANDED everywhere she goes. Take a look- boost your ratings a TON!!! Once you meet her you'll know what everyone means when they say she is UNIQUE.

I would put Russell (Exile) up against the chick- he might actually win this time. She seems to have it together and if she can do a clean chopper she might be in the running. Russell does not need to win, but come on against a girl? Shouldn't be too hard, give the fans what they want an Exile win against The Vagabond Chickie, I'll watch and as I am sure so will millions of others.

You should contact Shadley Brothers motorcycles in Whitman, MA. (Paul and Mark Shadley) They do not have a website (why is that, guys?), but they have been featured in Hot Bike and in a book about custom bikes at Sturgis. They are also members of the Hamsters with Ness and Perewitz. I've seen them at Boston bike shows and they build some kicka** bikes.

I am 100% sure that they would represent your series very very well. I would put my money on them not even knowing who they would be up against. All I would ask for is this: Ol School Vs. Ol School, or New Vs. New. That's it, They willl handle all the rest with authority.
One more thing, please either make the builders build their parts or at least call them out on the show as parts orderers.
Thank you in advance, G.

Probably a little late at this point - but I've lately thought it would be awesome to see a biker build-off showcasing high speed bikes. BTW, no way can a chopper run even close to 200 mph, they don't have the aero. The following bikes will push into the 240s and up.

Get Richard Albans of TTS (or their US Counterpart, California Superbikes) - tts-performance.com and calisuperbikes.com - vs. Dennis Clanton of Motorhead Performance - themotorhead.com. A SUPERcharged Hayabusa vs a TURBOcharged Hayabusa - both bikes making well over 600 horsepower.

Instead of voting, let the winner be decided subjectively through testing. Drag strip, track riding, suspension, horsepower, torque, etc.

I'd love to see it! The bikes are so much more powerful, and far more interesting, than the usual "choppers."

I would like to see a show where the bikes are judged only on their style. The names of the bike builders are kept secret until the voting is over and the winner anounced, that way the bikes are judged on their merit not on the builders name. This would make the competition more fair for the newer/ less known builders.

I think the Build-Or-Bust producers hit a home-run with the eventual Russell Mitchell/Jesse Rooke collaboration. You should do two builders per team; two teams compete against each other. How will they work together? Who's styles will dominate? I'd like to see Russell Mitchell and Rick Fairless vs. Joe Martin and Billy Lane!

Enough with the metric cheerleading, the producers have certainly made note of it by now.

Someone many pages up has already mentioned it, but Redneck Engineering in Liberty, SC does some nice stuff, their bikes are much better than their website!

Tony Applegate of Air Design Customs here in Boise, ID is a *great* guy, and would be an excellent candidate.

www.airdesigncustoms.com

Scuttlebutt has it that they *might* be relocating to AZ or CA as that's where most of their $60K butt jewelry is delivered. Big Grin

Still, if their clients can afford $60K bikes then they sure as hell can afford the airfare.
Operating expenses as well as cost of housing is much higher in CA and parts of AZ. Takes 7-8 hrs to drive from Boise to Reno.

FWIW, have a bunch of m/c road trips with pics, maps, and blather in ID, MT, OR & CA at:

Have Roland Sands and Jesse Rooke square off. The both of them come from racing so the competition would be pretty fierce. There'd probably some pretty funny trash talk too.

Have an Average Joe build off.Say an industrial Blue coller worker.A Has Been Biker who had to sell his bike for whatever reason to maintain his family life. A person from a small comunity that uses his local resorses to build his dream bike in his own back yard.Have two builders same basic life style on the same build budget.
I would like build a bike but do not really have the funds.I would Be glad to be one of your Average Joe bike builders.

Hank Young Vs. Roger Goldammer or Krugger Customs. Zero would be another good matchup. All have similar styles and intrest.
