It's spelled SAMOA not Somona.

You might be talking about Po'oino Yrondi, a famous Tahitian tattooist. Same artist that did Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's tattoo. Not sure if he does Samoan type style though.

Po'oino, an amazing artist, does not do Samoan tattoos. Traditional Tahitian, Marquesan, and Hawaiian art are his specialties. Although, he's in Tahiti right now, if you can get a hold of him I would suggest it.

Sorry if my English is bad -- I'm Tahitian and I only speak my mother tongue and French. But I'm learning English so bare with me.

I think the people you are looking for would either be Leo Zulueta - Spiral tattoo (who is now located in Ann Arbor michigan) or Freewind (who bought leo's shop "Black Wave" when he moved) and he's in california. This site that's been mentioned - http://www.tahititatou.com has a pretty comprehensive listing for people known for this style (i know cuz i'm one of them, my shop is listed first in the section for Canada) So perhaps you'll find someone closer to wherever you are. Good luck

Is it thought of as offensive to Tahitian or Polynesian people if people from other cultures get tattoos of these origins? I am white and from England but have always admired this style of tattoo
