Have ya'll noticed the 'sharp knives, loud guns' shirts worn on the show? Does anyone know what it is? I was thinking maybe it was a band or something.... I googled it and nothing came up... thanks for any feedback you can give.
Ok, stitch... I read the faqs, and found out you can buy it from deville... I asked what it was, not where you can buy it... so is it a band or just meaningless? Like, I'm from Flint, and we have shirts where the "L" is a gun b/c we are one of the top 4 most dangerous cities in the US... get it??? So I figured it meant something.... and I DID NOT find that answer in the faq's
crissy - I know the deville website is in limbo at the moment, but I imagine once they get the sales going again, that info might be there. Or you could e-mail the info addy and ask them directly.

Jorjie...you might wanna tell Ami to livin' that website up...the thank you note is nice but he's losing business! I'd like to see a catalog of merchandise myself even if its not yet ready...what will be ready later would be nice!
Thank you all for replying ... but I am not asking how to buy them.
I just want to know what "sharp knives, loud guns" is. I mean, is it a band or something? Or is it just a saying they came up with that means nothing??
Like I said, I had originally tried googling it because I thought 'hey that's a cool band name' but nothing came up.... so that is why I came to this forum to ask. If no one knows, that is ok, just please don't yell at me to go to deville (Stitch) because, like I said, I don't want to buy the shirt, I just want to know what the saying means.
Like, remember on the MTV awards when that kid from the Notebook kept wearing shirts that said Durfur or something and everyone was like "oh, is that a band?" and it was a freaking country in Africa?? All I'm asking here is does "Sharp Knives, Loud Guns" mean anything??
That's what I meant, crissy. On the deville website, there's an info email address. Perhaps you might get an answer to your question if you email and ask them directly where it comes from.
Iam a custom knifemaker, this saying has been around for awhile though I dont know where it actually came from or who first started using it. I know of at least one knifemaker who uses it on his own shirts. Matt www.CucchiaraKnives.com
Crissy, treeman knives sell that shirt. I emailed them to find out the meaning behind the phrase. When I get the answer I'll let you know what they say.
when i first saw the 'sharp knives' design on Miami Ink (big fan of the show and the artist on there) ... I immediately thought of these shirts. There's some similar themes and cooler designs (imho) there. company's been around since early last year.
I bought the tee-shirt years ago when they first came out and to tell you the truth, it is garbage. It's the cheapest made tee I have ever bought. The tee is so thin you can literally see skin through it, and I'm a white boy... It's so lightweight the ink saturates through it. I think it's a simple case of trying to cash in on their fame not knowing anything about the clothing trade. It cost me $24.00 for the tee plus shipping. I have been in the trade and know regular-weight Tee can be bought RETAIL for $2.50, so wholesale is half that.
I contacted the company immediatly to show my discussed with the item and of course "NO REPLY"
My advice, don't increase their bank accounts. It's a rip-off.
