when i have that chance of going to FLorida i would definitely find Miami ink and get a tattoo with the signs of all the artist... and i dont care if my mom would kill me for havin a tattoo. hahahah

I am from Nova Scotia, Canada....I would LOVE it if you took a trip North to the Maritimes! I have one tattoo, but I would love to get a new tat to commemorate my 2 beautiful kids!

does anyone know when season 3 officially starts filming?? I will be down there the end of April and just to get a tattoo would be sweet. Being on camera freaks me out.
yeahyea - casting calls happen periodically. You'll find that footage taken will be edited and added where it fits - so don't stress about this being a last chance.
dragonflyy - if all you want is a tat from Miami Ink and don't mind that an artist on the show won't do it, then you can turn up as a walk in and get one done then.
More often than not, MI artists ONLY tattoo for the show.
so if i applied online and sent in my tape how soon do you think it'll be before i hear back on whether or not they will do my tat?? i REALLY really really want them to do mine! im from austin,tx and everyone here thinks their the best but... im not convinced.
Is there a way to get a tattoo there without necessarily getting on the show? I just want a good tattoo, I have the artwork and I want Chris Garver to do it. I don't care about being on the show, just getting a good tat from an artist I trust. I have a good story behind the image and all that, but I don't look good in a bikini, so I don't think the producers would want me on the show.
How can one get a tattoo from one of the Miami Ink artist. I was just down in Miami and no one was even allowed to get near the front door. I dont want to be on the show but I would like a tattoo from them. Some of the members did come out of the shop but when I asked them if I could ask them a quick question, they just said "no no" and walked back into the shop. The guys that were outside not letting anyone near the shop said that the Miami Ink members only tattoo for the show and that after 9pm some other guys come into the shop and do tattoos for walk-ins.
I love the show, especially Ami and Kat, my concern is what about us who are not sure what to do to fix a tatoo and to honor someone in their lives at the same time. I have a tatoo on my left bicep that I have never really liked, I want to fix it and honor the tatoo on my shoulder for my sister at the same time. Unfortunatly I can't afford to go to Miami and pay for the tatoo. I looked at the app;ication for the casting call, but unfortuatly I'm not sure that I can fulfill all the requirements. What now?
First, the one about the person who could not get near the door. If you've ever watched American Chopper, they have a similar problem. They have a "fan" area near the shop, but not within range of the cameras. If they didn't control who came near the shop during filming, they'd have a ton of people hanging around the window and doors staring in. Not a desirable effect for the show. The fans mean no harm, as I'm sure this person did not as well. But they do want to control the appearance of the episode.
Then to the second one, about getting a tattoo fixed. When you meet someone in your town that has a nice tattoo, ask them where they got it. If it's a local shop and you like the work, go in for a consultation. Try to find two or three shops with good reputations and get opinions and estimates on fixing it. If you can't make it onto Miami or LA Ink (High Voltage, Kat's new shop), there are plenty of tattoo artists near you that could do good work that you'd be happy with.
I just saw an episode last night and found the tattoo that I want..I don't need to be on tv but I will be down there at the end of the month and would love to have it done by Kat. How do I contact Miami Ink so I can find out a price?
You can contact Kat at True Tattoo in LA. She's not tattooing in Miami this year. She's also got an email address, if you look over some of the other posts here, it's listed. She's busy getting her shop opened in Hollywood with her husband, Oliver: High Voltage tattoo. She's working at True Tattoo until then. She only books 2 months in advance right now. You want a great Tattoo but don't care about being on the show....ask for Michael Slater at Miami Ink....he's a terrific artist ans will probably be on next season show.
I was wondering how a person from Canada can get on the show? I've tried the online thing and it doesn't give an option for us Northern people.lol. I was shocked to hear that there's other people that do tatoos at the shop that aren't on the show! I have an AWESOME tattoo that I would want every single person from the crew to have a part in but am not sure how to go about getting there and on the show. It seems to me that the only way to get a tattoo from the Miami Ink crew would be to arrange to be on t.v.......PLEASE get back to me on this so I can possibly arrange something with you guys. Thanks, I'm sure Michael's a great artist, but if I'm going to spend the money to go all the way to Miami from Oregon for a tattoo, I want Chris Garver to do it. I know his work and I trust that I will love the tattoo when it's done. I would not be interested in going all the way to Miami to get a tatoo from some guy I've never heard of or have seen his little of his work.
I am from Ohio. I will be in florida in April. I did apply on line as well as send my video story. My 20 year old daughter took her own life a year ago. I got a memorial tattoo portrait of her done locally. Its ok, but not perfect like Kat does. I know you don't like to work on other peoples work, witch I can understand. If not, I would like to get work done in tribute to my other child. My son. To show how proud I am of him to be strong this last year and that he is just as special as his sister. I just want to tell my story so maybe it can save someone who might be thinking of taking there own life......Thank you

I would like to be on your show. i am an 19 year old student who has been wanting a tattoo for the last four years and am willing to start putting ink on my body. i would totally enjoy being on the show and have an awsome tattoo.
Why is it that you can apply to be on the show, but if you are Canada you are unable to apply ??? I myself was hoping to be on the show and get a memorial tattoo and was planning on coming to south beach for my 30th birthday.
