I am going to be in Miami in March '07 and I want to get a tattoo which contains hebrew text. I am under the impression that getting together with Ami is basically impossible. Are there other artists in the shop that can do hebrew text? This tattoo is a gift from my husband for my 40th birthday so I want the best, please help. Thanks!

If the picture isn't in Darren's gallery on this site, then I'm afraid you won't be able to find the picture.

Your best bet is to call the shop and talk to someone there. The phone number is a few posts up.

To Whom May answer this ..Me and my mom are wanting ta get a tattoo I want ta get mine down by chris and my mom i cant think of iite know she sleeping so i cant ask her now..but do we have ta make apponiments ..or jus walk in she wants ta get it for her b-day which is dis tuesday..i might get mine wit her..We live in florida..She wants ta get my GrandMama ,GradnDad,And Uncle i think on her arm.how much would that be..I want ta get 4 Chinses Symblos going down the middle on my back that respents me how much will that cost also..Thank you for help..

I know this is the same old same old question that has been asked many times.
Is this really a fully functional shop, that if I go down there I can go in a hopefully see some of the guys & girl and maybe if I'm a lucky girl in a million, maybe get one of the guys to give me my first ever tattoo.
Just the UK is a long way to come, to find thats it's just a film set

I would love more than anything for Ami to be my artist in question, and if he isn't then I don't get one, I have said no Ami no tattoo.
$$$ is no object here, and am willing to pay top money.
So is this a no hoper or is there more chance of winning the lottery

It is a functional shop, and there are several other artists that work there beside those seen on TV. From what I understand (could be wrong), you need to apply with TLC to get a tattoo done with one of the artists while they are filming. When they are done filming for the season, Garver and Kat go back to True Tattoo in L.A. If you want a tattoo from Ami after filming is over, I would recommend calling the shop to ask them how you could get on his waiting list (I'm assuming he has one).

I'm assuming the reason they don't have email for the shop is that they would be bombarded with "Ami is too hawt!" emails.

I'm pretty sure that at least a person or two who post on this board (or used to) have walked in to get work. However, the work was done by one of the resident artists, not the "stars." Hopefully someone who can help you out more will chime in. Good luck!

Oh, and as far as waiting lists go, I have heard rumors that Garver's is up to a year and a half. Ami's is probably pretty comparable.

I need help designing a tatoo and want Chris to do it. I am a Navy Reservist and I have been activated to Beaufort, SC. I want the Marine Corps emblem, but I want the Corpsman symbol inside the design. Can he help. I would like to have Chris do the tattoo if possible.

catmomdew: You can get a tattoo by Chris Garver either by applying to be on Miami Ink ( and being accepted) or by getting on Garver's wait list at True Tattoo (his shop in L.A.) I don't think that there is any other way at this time to get a Garver tattoo, I'm sorry to say.

im 16 and i live in the bay area in northern california and my family and i are gonna be down in miami for the last week of september for my dads work and we all watch the show and we all decided to get tattoos as a family. my parents and my sister already have a couple tatoos but it will be my first one and we were wondering if miami ink could do the job for us and what we need to do to get our tatoos? we dont need to be on the show we just want you guys to do our tatoos.

P.S. I Know my dad wanted to see if Kat could do his tattoo also if she's available

I think you have to be 18 in this country to legally get a tattoo anywhere....you may have to wait a few years.

i love the show and i watch it everyweek. I am 17 turning 18 in about 4 months and will get my first tattoo, but i have psoriasis. Will this effect the tattoo? Is there any medicines which can help? please resond. thank you.

hmm...everyone here seems to think Ami is pretty Hot...he's nice, don't get me wrong...but I seem to have a thing for Nunez...Am I alone on that one? (do the guys have time to read this?)

And one more question, Are the other "off camera" artists just as talented...I am thinking of getting a Dragonfly in the memory of my brother who was killed in 2001 (my first Tat). But I assume I won't get an "on camera" artist & I am so anal about any mistakes.

DOn't bother. You have to audition if you want to be on TV, and the artists who actually work at Miami Ink are not the real artists. Mu wife and I were just there and they were no where to be seen. ITSALLFAKE. Find a good artist in your area and have it done there. The tattoo is about the tattoo and the meaning behind it, not the artist who did it.

Are you able to find me a link to Darren Brass's tattoo's that he has done on the show recently. I would much appreciate that or even if you could find me a link or talk to him about sending me a picture of the Snake and Skull he did. I believe the showing premiered in September.

my question is that i have a design for a tatto though i was told it would look like a shrinky dink. i want to create a ying yang symbol with one side having the devil with flames and all and of course the other side with angels would there be a way to create it and get it done with out being told it will look like a shrinky dink if i place it on my arm?
