How much does weight loss affect the look of a tattoo? I have a couple tattoos that I'd like to get on my back, one on the lower back and one underneath my left shoulder. I'm heavy but in the process of trying to lose weight.
Do I hold off on the tattoos until I reach my ideal weight, which could be a year from now, or do I go for it now?
The places that you want your tattoos are pretty good as far as weight loss goes. I have yo-yoed with weight for quite some time and have gone through pregnancy and the tattoos that I have (1 on my right shoulder, and 1 on my lower back) have not changed. Good luck with yours

The only reason i would hold off is, when you reach your goal, you could have a tattoo to symbolise the moment. That is what i'm planning to do once i reach my goal weight. I know what i want too, a butterfly on a lower back and a barcode on my inside wrist with my goal weight as the numbers as a reminder never to go above that again!
