I tried asking this in inking tips but didn't get any suggestions
I had some work done in a Shop in Bohemia Suffolk County NY a few years ago but when I went back for more work I discovered the walls had a bunch of political stuff. I have no problems with the work they did but if I go someplace for a Tat I don't want to have someones ideas about politics shoved down my throaqt so I waked out. I want the name of a place that does good work without any political poster on the wall. I want a large picture of the Winchester rifle logo. The logo has a guy on a horse at full gallopwith a rifle in his hands and the wind is kind of pushing his hat back.
This is what it looks like, I want it in full color. I have better pictures at home but this is the best I can find on the net
if you really want the tatoo i suggest that you will need to do some traveling and come down to charlotte, north carolina and the place is called immortal tatoos; they a good job on my recent tatoo that i just got and i love my tatoo so if you are serious of getting that tattoo then come to charlotte north carolina
mfny- try lark tattoo in west hempstead long island- husband and wife been in biz a long time, check it out see if what you are looking for.if you do mention cousin ronnie sent me. hope it works out. good luck vic
Thanks for the suggestions of close by places. The problem I have with flying out of state is what would happen if I spent all that time and money to get there and didn't like the looks of the plase when I walked in the door.I want some place close but before I thought about going out of state i would check out places in NY city. NYC is less than 1 1/2 hours away by train. I have a car and can drive in to the city but the train is easier. Massapequa and Hempstead are only about a 45 minute ride by car. I have wanted the Winchester horse and rider a long time.
Thank you for all the suggestion, the guy in NY city is great. Iwon't be able to get it done till next month so I will havesome time to check out more shops before I get it done. I will check out the the two Long Island shops but that guy in the city is great.
WOW I just checked out the Lark tattoo site but the address is 1610 old country road Westbury not Hempstead. The artist Miss D'Jo has some nicce stuff
The Mike guy in Massapequa has some nice stuff but it is hadr to see the pictures on the site they are too small. The only way to really make a good decision is to check out each place in person.
PS if I go into a shop with all kinds of political posters I will walk out . I dodn't care how good their work is I don't want to get involved with politics just give me a tat without making pro or anti war statements. The only thing that I don't mind isif they want to say the support our men in uniform.
Do you have a link to a site, where is he? I don't have the time or money to get the work done right now. I have a house here in Long Island and a house in Texas. I have put up the house in TX for sale and am in the process of bringing my stuff back to NY. On 3/30 I am flying out to TX to drive my car back to NY. I will probably get the work done sometime in April. is the person anywhere between TX and NY because I will be driving bavk to Tx again after I sell the house and I will stop off and visit my cousin in SC on my way back. I really would prefer to get the work done in NY so I can have someone I can stick with if I like their work.
UPDATE I never got around to getting it done because I haven't been in one place long enough. In the past 12 mouths I have bought and sold a house in TX, sold my house in NY, and bought a house in SC on Aug 24. I must have driven tens of thousands of miles moving my stuff between houses. I now am in Anderson SC for good. When I fly back to NY for visits and other stuff I fly out of Charlotte because it is a lot heaper than Spartanburg SC. I am flying back to NY on Oct 30 to pick up and drive my car from NY to SC. On my next trip to NY for a Christmas visit I plan on taking some extra time to check out the Charlotte shop
PS this Tat will be a reward and celebration for finally escaping from NY and not having to spend another cold winter here
