Hi, I love her work and creativity. I really think it is the shops loss...but hey I live on the west coast and if she is out here I will drive to where ever that is to get the tatoos done by her. I think if everyone acted like grown ups and learned to talk it could have been different.
I truly think Kat is a wonderful and beautiful artist. No one is perfect. She is hard headed, Ami is hard headed. She will be missed as her work is purely one of a kind in my book. Can't wait to see her again on her new show. Hoping she does well and her new business, life and show is a huge success.
I hear ya!! I would rather have her do a tat on me than Ami anyday...gotta give props to Garver for being the one that knows that it was a bad thing for Ami to do!!
the thing is ,no matter if kat is an awesome portrait artist she was working for ami and she shouldve done what he was axing her to do without whinning and cmplaining and she would still be there. to tell someone that you wont do a tat because its elementary school is so wrong it isnt even close . not every tat needs to be complicated to be beautiful . not every tat has to be something fantastic to the artist as long as it is fantastic and beautiful to the person it is going on. she was wrong plain and simple and thats why shes gone . ami isnt always right ,true, but its his shop not hers and if he wants things done a certain way then hey hes the one that signs the checks. besides hes the one that got the tv show and made her famous.i will say if i wanted a portrait done then i would want her to do it of i was in the area she is in.
Ami and guys I think you made a bad choice not sitting down and try to work out the issues. I love the show. But Kat is a great artist actually I'm hoping they do a show on her own shop. I'll watch both.
Frankly, my daughter and I don't even wanna watch the show anymore. We agree that she was the best thing about it. She was just saying how she wanted to get a cheetah on her back from Kat when she was old enough. Pretty smart for a 6 year old. Garver and Darren should move out West and join Kat and they should do a LA Ink, then I'll watch again. Actually, they should all come up here to Portland... Portland Ink! I will be the first in line! Yeah, it's Ami's shop, but he would be no where without Kat and Garver. Forget it. It's over.

I loved your show! But now that Kat is gone...I'm not so sure. By what I could see on TV it seemed like Ami was trying to convince everyone that Kat should go. The rest of the guys seemed indifferent. Either way, I wish Ami would have tried to solve the problem instead of firing her for personal reasons. After all, Kat is a great artist just trying to make room for herself in a male dominated profession.
Miami ink is first and foremost a buisness. Kat was bad for buisness and is in need of a serious attitude adjustment. Case in point, the way she talked to the Tuttles from American Chopper about the tribal armband they requested, she was snotty and told them it was beneath her, that it was 4th grade. Also talking down about the shop when her BOSS is sitting right next to her is asking to get fired. I had a job working for an investment banking company in Manhattan and my boss overheard me on the phone saying that the job was a downwer. He pulled me into the office and told me there were hundreds of people that want the job and that it was time for me to pack my stuff and go. Lesson learned, hopefully Kat will show a little more professionalism in her next job. She had to go. It was the right decision.

I cant beleive ya'll let Kat go, that was a huge mistake, i used to love ya'lls show, now i am just waiting on Kats show to start, she did not need ya'll N-E ways, she will do great on her own, that was really childish of Ami to not be able to sit down and talk about it with Kat, well N-E ways if you read this Kat, i love ya girl and i live closer to the east coast than i do the west, and when i want a tatoo i will be coming to see you girl, cause you are awesome!!!

to comment on Kat being gone I think they made a big mistake. She is one of the most talented artist I've ever seen. She came to Miami to help Ami get his business going and did a very good job! Kat is a young and vibrate artist who has her own opinions and beliefs. Now Ami told viewers that Kat did not like Miami Beach??? What does this have to do with tattooing? Is this not a free country we live in?..so noone can express their own opinion? I think Ami is on a power trip and can have a bad attitude at times. Kat and Ami both have strong beliefs and "butt heads" from time to time. So in the end, Ami lost a very talented artist, shame on him! I know Kat will make it big in the business and can't wait to see where Ami ends up!
reading these posts here i just dont understand why folks dont get the fact that it is ami's shop and he can hire and fire who he wants. second kat is good but not the best out there as well there are plenty of others out there that can fill the position so it is no big deal that kat is gone. in fact if the drama is gone now its probably the best move ami couldve made ,getting her out of there. the show will go on and a new artists will come on . by the end of the season kat will not even be a memory. especially if ami hires a hottie !
I can't wait for LA Ink Kat Von D is an awesome tattoo artist. I like Ami but man he is a little angry man. Chris should have stood up to ami and got Kat to stay

Kat Von Me...I love it! So, Kat IS gone, now. If you don't like it, go cry about it. As far as Tasi Lyn, she doesn't seem to be as technically advanced as Kat, but she does have a way better attitude. Whoever they get to fill in for Kat Von Me will hopefully be a lot more professional. dj
i couldnt believe it, i thought they would at least try and work it out or he would not fire her and set some boundaries or something, it was so sad, she is a great artist. im still going to watch the show, i still think its great, but it wont be the same with kat gone

The way I see it is that Kat was a great part of the show, yet she was immature. But then, so are all the rest of the guys on the show, save for Garver. He comes across as the only actual grown up on the show. The rest are testosterone driven boys, still. IMO, Ami handled letting Kat go in an extremely unprofessional manner. He is her boss, though, and he has the right to choose whoever works for him, certainly, but to behave the way he did when he let her go was just way out of line, IMO. Tacky. Trashy, even. I actually felt embarrassed for him. Fire her, it's your shop, but do it with a bit of class, some professional courtesy, all that stuff Ami spouts off ab
