In other words, season 3 will be just like season 2. They'll show 1 or 2 new episodes, then they'll show highlights from the past 2 seasons.

Yeah, probably so, if that is the case I will be highly disappointed.

If they are filming from April to September then there is absolutely no reason for all this re-run mess. And I expect a cliffhanger finale too! Big Grin

Like Dallas' Who Shot J.R. cliffhanger? Big Grin

Next season will probably be filled with Miami Ink road shows. I guarantee they'll ship Ami, Nunez & Garver to NYC for a very special episode. BORING. Who wants to see that? I don't.

Ship them to Australia, Turkey, Syria, or Lebanon if they want to keep me interested.

Maybe they're taking their sweet time with the new episodes work on the editing; especially because of complaints about continuity, audio, and sparklesSmile Lets all hope that's the case.

Isis, I understand visit to Australia for tattoos, but is there some form of tattoo art being practiced in Turkey, Syria, or Lebanon? No sarcasm, just wondering. I'll take a wild guess in stating that Ami in particular might not be enthused at the idea of going to syria lebanon; or could that be why you want him to goWink just kiddin'

Been to Turkey twice before. It's a fantastic place. From what I understand, tattooing is more on the down low than say in Australia. Nevertheless, people do get tattooed there. Though Turkey predominately a Muslim country, roughly 90%, there is a seperation of chruch and state. The country is not as strict as say Syria, thanks in part to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and his later counterparts.

Turkey has a very diverse culture derived from various elements of the Ottoman Empire, European, and the Islamic traditions. As Turkey successfully transformed from the religion-driven former Ottoman Empire into a modern nation-state with a very strong separation of state and religion, the increase in the methods of artistic expression followed. Thus modernization, a new cultural identity and Western influences flowed through. Turkish traditions are the priority though the younger generation gravitate towards western cultures as time passes.

Lebanon is a great place to visit, no joke. Been there on a vacation once and it was pretty cool. Speaking the language and blending in helps.

He'll be fine in Lebanon. Syria might be a problem.

My votes on Thailand or Japan. That would be interesting or maybe even some far away island where the boys would have to make funny noises and dance around to communicate with the natives! Wink

Japan would make a great road show. Ami and Garver mentioned that they've visited before (and we all know Yoji's from Japan). It would be interesting to see their old stomping ground and of course more of the traditional style of tattooing.

So Isis, you've been to Turkey. I remember seeing a History Channel program highlighting Istanbul and the fact that the modern city is built directly over the ancient city. They went underground into the cisterns and explained the construction and rediscovery (I think tey said it was by a traveler who noticed an abuntant supply of water and people going fishing in their "basements". Please correct me if I'm wrong). Anyways, I know there are other places in the world with entire undergound cities, but like alot of people my awareness of Turkey was poorly influenced by Midnight Express Roll Eyes I had no idea the country is as beautiful and fascinating as it is (television is not as mind rotting as some people think Wink. If I ever win the lotto, travel will definetly be on my to-do list. Oh, and buying a house for my momma Big Grin

Well, enough of my own boring historical enlightent(especially on a Saturday) and thanks for the info.

I want to see a roadshow to Hollywood and Garver's shop, "True Tattoo". Miami Ink could use the competition.

Re: re-runs: Adding to the chorus of despair, I fear the tide of support will shortly wane, (as viewers of OCC are now turning their collective backs on them!). The show gets us all lathered up, cultivates a loyal following, and then disrespects the viewership who "made" the show's success. So now that they're raking it in,and can't get a decent amount of show product to last but for a few episodes?? So now starts the repackaging, e.g. "Specials" & "Best of's" & all the re-worked canned phrases, all tantamount to the big "yawn"! "Our" loyalties make the success story & we deserve a better effort.. Bored and moving on.... (Truth be known, I still would hock much, just to get a ink session with the "Kat" women!).. larryXcop
