MR deville keeps popping up in these threads to squash the rumors about Ami's marraige. As a fan of all of the guys from Miami Ink-I wish them the best-married or single. However, I think that keeping your personal life private & outright lying to the fans are 2 different things. Even if TLC is the ones wanting to keep his marraige quiet, at some point the guys need to realize that their fans are behind them-step up & own the truth. I don't think that there would be near as much speculation if the truth was put out there. The show is about tattoos, with occassional glimpses into the guys lives. Nobody is asking for tours of there homes to be on the show or their wives or girlfriends to become part of the show. There is a line between keeping DETAILS of their private lives out of the show & deception. Ratings would still be there. I would think that there would be a little more respect of the fans from the guys, as well as TLC.

It would be a help if the moderators could step in when threads like this occur so as to avoid confusion.

No disrespect intended, but what confusion? Either they are or they aren't. It would end the "confusion" & speculation. We would wish them well-whatever the circumstances & everyone moves on. Maybe that would stop these threads...

What I don't understand...I have gone through alot of topics that were posted previously, and I have read some pretty mean and obscene info on the cast of Miami Ink and LA Ink, but what I dont understand is there was no lash back comments to these postings. But information that is posted about something like this ,which might I remind you was not written in an obscene or perverse manner, gets all this attention and "hate mail". Hmmm, makes me wonder...why else would someone care so much to respond to something that isn't really true, unless...Especially considering some of the terrible "rumors" that were already written...And plus there is such thing as the 5th Amendment...Bottom line, if you believe that it isn't true, then don't care so much, but treat all the "rumors" (that you think are false) the same...

I read MOST threads but not all because there's so much BS written here it's unbelievable.
Ami this Ami that etc etc... it's comical.
However when someone writes along the lines of 'from a reliable source' and what is written I know not to be true then I speak up.

Thank you mr_deville for letting us know what's real and what's not. It's funny how this "reliable source" keeps popping up. If he/she really knew so much about Ami, he/she would know about you and your friendship with Ami!

I've been watching Miami Ink from the beginning and have been coming to this forum and others for quite some time now. I've never signed up on any of them because I've been a part of forums in the past and it's all drama and arguing. I nearly signed up awhile back when someone posted a lengthy opinion that the show be cancelled and tattooing is not an art form etc. Needless to say I disagree.
I held my tongue about that topic but I feel the need to comment on this one.

Open_Eyes, it's not surprising to me that you don't understand the back-lash. Tame as it may be. Your own logic is so twisted and warped that understanding human nature or true friendship is probably beyond your realm of grasp. Or so you would have everyone believe. Whoever you are.
I find it quite ironic that your membership began on the day you posted on two seperate threads about the same topic and yet I don't see that you've commented on anything else.
The idea that you believe your own comments are not obscene, mean or perverse only goes to show how far from reality you truly are because claiming the things that you have is the definition of obscene, mean and perverse because it's all LIES!
Mr_DeVille is a personal friend of the cast and even though I don't know him in person I applaud him for his true friendship and abilities to bite his tongue. He's remained quite patient and laid back on this forum while watching his friends being degraded. I personally don't know how he does it.
He's spoken out when he's felt the need without lowering himself to the standard set on this forum and without personally attacking anyone else.
As for thinking that he has some sort of duty to read all the threads and speak up on all of them, it would be impossible. He'd never be able to log offline. It's the job of the MOD's but as we've all seen, they don't do their jobs. While some seemingly innocent posts are edited or deleted, ones like this thread are allowed to remain. If the MOD's would do their jobs, people like Mr_DeVille wouldn't feel they have to log on just to look out for their friends.
Hypocrisy is rampant online. The internet is full of it. Being a fan of something doesn't give anyone the right to log online and make up stories or start fights with someone just because they don't agree with you. Why log on and start a rumor that just isn't true?
It's ok to be a fan but let's not forget that the word fan is short for fanatical. The definition of the word is: "Possessed with or motivated by excessive, irrational zeal."
If I'm not mistaken Open_Eyes, you're motivated by either jealousy or 'fan'tasy. Maybe even both. Comment how you like on the forum but don't attack the cast or their friends in such a salacious way. Let them live their lives in peace. Lack of privacy is not the price of
fame. It's a shame that success has to come with the idea that there is a 'price' and that anyone and everyone has the 'right' to know everything about you. Nothing could be further from the truth. While I'm sure it's flattering to have fans, I imagine it's also an inconvenience.
The real fact is that it's a semi-scripted, so-called reality, art/documentary TV show.
Just like anything in life, things are not always as they seem. And the same can be said for this forum and others.
Claim the 5th amendment all you like but talk about a cop out even if this is a forum online.
Like I said, hypocrisy.

I'd like to ask that the MOD please lock this thread and block Open_Eyes (even though he/she will make a new ID) Let's all get back to enjoying the show(s) and leave everyone to live their lives.

I would have to agree with krystalm and the whole deception thing. I am pretty nuetral myself. I am a huge fan of the show and I do agree that privacy should be respected, on the other hand, it isn't fair to say that the fans on here that write these comments/rumors on the guys private lives are at fault. I mean, people only believe what they 'see' if they 'don't know'. Do you see where I am coming from? If they want to keep their lives private, then that should be respected, but don't say/do/or act in a manner on national tv that is the actual opposite of the 'truth', whatever that is. I mean, look at Yogi for example. He had no problem stating from day one that he was 'married to a beautiful wife and had a beautiful girl'. His marriage wasn't played out on tv, yet he acknowledged it and he is very popular and has positive feedback from fans. So it is only natural that fans might feel opposite towards Ami. Fans might feel like "what is he trying to hide? Is he ashamed? Is it even real?" And the way he carries himself on TV by openly flirting with women; I mean bottom line, he doesn't portray someone who is suppose to be happily married, like Yogi. I just believe that if Ami or his friends do not want to see these ugly comments/rumors about them, then maybe they sould own up to the truth. Just like Yogi, you can admit to what is going on personally without playing it out on TV and still keep it private. I think some fans would appreciate that alot. Sorry if this is long. (Go Yogi!! )

I know, that always makes me laugh! They watch the show but they seem to miss the opening credits with the cast's names in huge bold letters.

What does it matter if he is married.. The show is about tattooing. It is not a documentary about the guys. If they wanted us to know every little thing about their lives I am sure that they would let us know... I say enjoy the show for what it is and stop worrying about others peoples peronal life.. Personally I wouldn't want every aspect of my lofe posted for everyone to see either.. Ami lets us watch him create works of art for people.. Enjoy that.. He is in the spot light enough... Let him have his privacy... Leave the poor guy alone...

Ami does definately have the right to keep details of his personal life private. He didn't care about sharing that his dad left them at a young age, that they were dirt poor, about being in the Israeli army, etc.. But he wants to outright lie about a good thing! It just seems like he's the only one of the gang to draw the line that way. It's disappointing of him-not life ending..

I don't think that saying that he is lying about a good thing is completely true.. He chose to share those specific things i.e. his father and his military experience.. Ami has the right to deny us or anyone for that matter any specifics of his life.. He doesnt have to tell us anything.. I dont see it as disapointing, I see it as exciting that he tells us what he does.. Any insight to his personal life is great dont get me wrong but why pry or be mad if he doesnt share every detail. Lets all be appreciative to what he does tell us instead of being negative about it..
