Hello there, Watching reruns of MI recently, Garver said something to a customer that I really agree with. The customer wanted to cover up a small tat on his arm but he wanted a pin up girl but Garver told him it wasn't going to work. #1 I respect him for his honesty #2 I respect the fact that he really did try to find something that would work
Anyway, he also said to make sure you get something that you're going to be able to live with for the rest of your life. Which brings me to my dilemna ... I have a Sankofa symbol (the bottom half) but I'm considering having it covered in honor of the baby that I lost earlier this year.
Does anyone have any suggestions or pictures in remembrance of a baby girl? Here's a link to the picture that I have on my lower back. Tattoo
I'm so sorry about the loss of your child, that's a horrible thing to go through. I don't know how big the tattoo you have is, but to cover it you'll probably have to use mostly black. Perhaps a heart shape, or some kind of flower might be appropriate for a baby girl, you might be able to get something designed for you that will cover what you have.
Smarti - I appreciate your kind words. The existing tat is about 4 inches long and maybe 4 inches wide. I'm planning to take a trip to the shop to get some additional suggestions too.
Not sure what to use for a cover up, but I can definately feel your pain. I am sorry for your loss. I recently was given a memorial tat for my twins. My wife had it done for me on fathers day. Twin dragons around a celtic cross with initials and there birth date. Trust in your emotions and they will lead you to your cover up.
