I noticed on Kats website that she was going to Calgary in September so I emailed her yesterday to ask while she was in Canada if she would be coming to the Montreal tattoo convention and I just got an email saying that she wil be tattooing portraits at the convention this year and shes taking appointments. This is so awesome I can't wait to see her working face to face.

The convention last year was awesome, there were so many great artist there from all over. bigtwinky where do you go to get tattooed? its funny that you mention tattoomania thats there I get tattooed...
I get tattooed at PSC tattoo (Pointe St-Charles) by Carnie Marnie. She actually used to work at Tattoomania.
Dave Cummings, Dave Knight are awesome artists as well. And ol' Tony still works there. He opened the shop back in 1976. He still does awesome lettering hehe.
Although Pol and Pierre are great tattoo artist mine is Simon. I've heard the name of your tattooist but I'm not sure where. The 2 daves are great artist I've seen a bit of thier work. What kind of tattoo are you getting right now? mine is a back piece, 12 hours so far and 4 more to go, I can't wait till its done. I was actally thinking about entering it in the competition at the convention this year.
I love Tattoomania! Probably the best shop in Montreal IMO.
I've been tattooed 3 times by Pierre (finished my 1/2 sleeve 3 weeks ago ) and I plan to go back next year. He as a waiting list that goes thill next febuary, but it's well worth the wait though.
I plan on going to the convention this year. Hope I can see Kat at work.
Pretty much all the peeps at Tattoomania are awesome. Pierre and Pol are the most renown, but Simon is pretty cool too. I love his realism and black and grey work.
I've sadly had to put my next tattoo on hold for a bit. While I did discuss it with Marnie briefly, don't have the time (or mostly the $$) to get it going right now. It is to be a memorial tattoo for my mom and grandma in a japanese theme. Probably going to end up a half sleeve. Not sure yet.
grail25 nice to meet another montrealer I agree with you I think tattoomanias awesome... Simon's specialty is realistic animals and stuff, he did a tiger on one of the girls I work with, it was amazing it looked so real.my next tattoo is going to be either japanese style or wild animal heads, I think he'll do a great job. bigtwinky sorry to hear about your mom and grandma.
