I'm getting a Japanese themed tattoo on my leg of a dragon, pheonix and a geisha, but when I mentioned this to my artist I was very disappointed to hear that he couldn't do the picture I wanted of the geisha because her whole face is white and he doesn’t tattoo white, he said it will become yellow over time. I was just wondering if this is true?
I have a hard time holding white ink. It just disappears. I can see where it might appear to turn yellow with fading and sun damage....I would listen to your artist...he obviously doesn't want to give you a bad tattoo.
lol rubred as cutebaby said it's french and we don't speak it often around here. Ok I do since I've moved from mtl but it's always fun to speak to someone in your own language if you want we'll traduce next time
By the way cutebaby if you want I can send you a pics of how it's now just need you to give me your e-mail but somewhere saffer than on the chatroom
It is possible to tattoo white. One of the best canadian tattoo artists, Steve Moore, is doing an awesome Geisha / Panther sleeve on someone. I saw some pics and it is just amazing.
The thread can be found on the tattoodles forums. While the site is very poorly managed and they try and get you to fork over the bucks for the littlest things, they do have some good information on tattoos. The site is a great resource for artists, but for tattoo collectors, it ain't that much.
Ok, enough ranting about tattoodles, here is the link to the guy's tattoo. Its 4 pages, you see the progression of the tattoo. A truely awesome UNIQUE and ORIGINAL piece.
Wow le geisha est trés beau, merci beacoup bigtwinky pour le link. je vais demander une autre fois a mon artist, he told me it becomes yellow after a little while thats why he dosen't like to do a lot fo it. Are you going to the convention this year?

Love the emphasis!
hehe, there will always be some 1d1ot somewhere who will want to copy it.
Cute, who is your artist or what shop do they work at? I looked through my shop's (well, not MY, but the place my wife and I go) and they have some pretty cool white coloured tattoos. It seems that you have to add a little extra light blue to make the colour stay better.
