Why don't I apply?

1) student loans
2) waaaaaaaay too self-conscious.

I had tried to get a tattoo on the show but I have not heard from Casting since September 2006. I sent a vedeo of myself, a picture of the tattoo I want, where I want it and my story but then just no communication. I very much would like to just schedule getting an appointment at Miami Ink for a tattoo. I live and work in Kansas City so I was trying to to schedule my flight down and everything but now it is November 8th so I would like to know if I can now schedule out as far as March 2007 to get through the winter now so that I could plan on it, schedule the flight, time off of work etc... But if that won't work I want to do what ever I need to do to get this tattoo! Please let me know. I want a 6-7-8 inch tattoo of a black panther on my left hip. I can send you attached pictures through yahoo email, lots of black and shading and with dark purple for high lighting. I would like Chris Nunez to do it. I was so focused and ready to get it and now it's been very hard going without it. I have the money and will get you the $100.00 up front deposit. This means so much to me, please let me hear back from you. My cell phone number is 913-634-6818. Please Please Please!!!! I can also send you and attached a photo of myself. If you want me to send my video again for any reason, I will. I want this tattoo so bad from this artist. If Nunez cannot do it I would like Ami James, they do great artwork with the big cats. Help! I love Miami Ink!!!!

Um, Dawn, you really shouldn't post your phone number online for everyone to see. Seriously, that's just dangerous.

The shop's phone number is in the Frequently Asked Questions thread (1st page). I saw your other post, and Jorgie hasn't been on this board for quite a few months now.

Dawn: A friend of mine sent in a tape to casting in April, was contacted by the casting dept. in May, and has yet to hear anything more. She's thinking at this point that maybe she should submit another tape with a new story and tattoo idea. Maybe you should too.

I'm hoping she does because I'm her token "friend" who will accompany her to Miami.

Hey blondie you know I will. I want this tattoo so bad, from a Miami Ink artist and it has become an obsession. I look at the bare skin on my hip and its depressing. It's my goal to get there and get it. Making this appointment is only half the work with getting my flight, time off of work and I still have to know when it will be..... OMG! Anyway good luck to you and your friend too! I guess I need a tat that says "To Miami Ink ro Bust!" or "Will work for Miami Ink"..

Dawn - LOL -I like your tat ideas - I'm thinking at this point that you almost have to have a gimic. If not that, then a heart rendering story about the loss of a loved one. Because IMO, those are the types of people who seem to get chosen for the show.

And I understand your frustration regarding the logistics of the trip. You would think the producers would be more sensitive to that too. We need to schedule time off from work, buy airline tickets, etc. It's not something you can always do at a moment's notice (but we would if called).

And I do understand it being an obsession - that's exactly how we feel. And the only reason I, myself, don't apply is that I'm afraid that I would turn into a nonsensical idiot or worse, do something totally embarrassing if I ever got that close to Garver. My role as a concerned friend and observer seems safer for everyone involved at this point.

Good luck to you - I hope you make it on the show. Smile

I can't even begin to fathom the idiocy that has been emblazoned into the replies on this message board.

First off, NO ONE who is responsible for casting or booking appointments is reading your pathetic begging and designs of granduer.

That jorgie whoever the hell he/she is, complete and utter fake, and those of you who believe otherwise, I have some amazing deals on totally real and beautiful diamonds, and Im SLASHING the prices on them today if you only send a cashiers check to....

Ugh, seriously, wake UP!!! This is a Discovery channel message board with ZERO legitimate ties to the show! How in the great holy black hole of my backside can you BELIEVE that A: someone claiming to be associated with the show truly is... And B: That by posting requests to be on the show, you will get a legitimate response.

Its like watching a group of mongoloids play scrabble, fun to watch, but still retarded.

Wow. We're all so impressed, I'm sure.

I personally was speaking of the casting process, and I'm pretty sure thats the page everyone else is on besides you and the one tard who posted her phone number. We're just talking about CASTING. Yes, casting is REAL, believe it or not. I have been in cpntact with the casting people on and off for the last month. I've already gotten a quote, and am just waiting Producer and Garver approval. Anyone can do it, especially if I can. "Get on the Show"...its a link on the main page. Use it and stop being an a hole.

HAHAHAHAH! Wow... Are you serious right now? I never, not ONCE, denied the legitimacy of casting. Where the hell did you even infer that from?!? I merely made it a point that jorgie was an idiotic moron who never worked for miami ink, and everyone who believed that he/she did rivals his/her level of idiocy. And as a matter of fact, I'm PRETTY sure I wrote quite clearly and eloquently that you could visit the TLC website to get cast. Wake up and RTFT before you go accusing me of indiscretions that never took place...

You are one lucky lady. A tattoo at Miami Ink and with Garver no less. I'm drooling just thinking about it. Good luck to you and I look forward to seeing you on the show.

A request - when you return, could you please tell us all about your experience? I guess I'll have to live vicariously through you. Wink

Hah, well we'll see. I want a Japanese style Tiger, and was told by casting that Garver might turn it away cuz he does so much of that style as it is. I told them I'd opt for any other style tiger, or even panther if its what Garver wanted... Haha, I just want a Garver Tat, plain and simple! Its been a couple weeks I think since they were gonna turn it over to Garver and the producer, so things are looking iffy right now. Oh well, I live in LA so if I dont get Garver through TLC, maybe I have a slim chance of making his reg. LA appointment list... :0\

I applied to be on Garver's waiting list at True Tattoo a few months ago and Connie (his assistant) e-mailed me back and said that Garver is not taking any more appointments this year. She did say, though, that I should e-mail her again at the beginning of 2007 as he may start adding people to his wait list at that time. So, guess what I'll be doing January 1, 2007?...... Wink

Yup, exactly what I did. When I heard that I was like...hmm...wonder if its easier or harder to book him through TLC? So I found out... :0)

I can't imagine how much harder it would be to get Kat though...she's got wider appeal just because of her image... (and i'm not knocking her, she's amazing). But I think more people know Kat's name than Garver on a larger scale, so I wonder how hard it would be to get on HER appointment list?

If you look on Kat's website, she isn't even scheduled to be back in L.A. until late January - before then she's in Miami and over Xmas she'll be in Finland.

For appointments, she requires that a detailed request be sent to her and then I assume she chooses which tattoos she wants to do.

So getting an appointment with Kat is equally difficult. No offense to Kat though but I want a Garver tattoo - so I'll keep trying.

actlikebarbara you never know maybe Kat will stop by a shop in your area and do some tattooing. Before I got my ink done by her at MI she was here in baltimore tattooing at a local shop. You just have to keep an eye on her site to see were she will be. She's worth it.

Oh, I live in LA right by True Tattoo...I know she'll be around...just a matter of getting through her OR Garver's guard-dog like assistants.

F*** "jorgie" in his/her ear! Secondly, if you look at the little bar at the top of your screen, you will notice the web address of community.DISCOVERY.com... Yes, TLC is a subsidiary of Discovery, but that doesn't make the f***ing bulliten board system the TLC website now does it???

Keep 'em coming, I get a laugh every time someone continues the farcical charade of either seeking an appointment via the message board, mentioning how cool they are because they are "speaking to the casting directors" for their lame unoriginal "Japanese inspired tiger or panther", or the cream of the crop, trying to have a decent come back for me...

Psh, 0w3nd.

My dear friends,
I am a true in love wife from Romania ! On 20 september my husband will be 32 years old and his great wish was to make a tattoo by Ami or Chris. So I struggeled for 1 year to surprise him and to give him as my gift a journey in Miami. I bought 2 plane tickets from 17 of september until 24 of september.
If everything is ok maybe I'll have my own tattoo either!
My problem is I don't know how to make an appointment, I wrote e-mails to Ami and Chris...but I don't receive any answers....I'm very sad about this.....

Also maybe you will give me a tip for a nice restaurant for 20 september to celebrate his birthday!

Is there somebody who can help me?
