I thought it was TOTALLY wrong to make the athletes try and run that coarse in those stupid sandals. TOTALLY ASSININE. That was like making them compete against seasoned rowers bare handed in a crewing competition. It was bad enough to have them go there and compete in high altitudes and in dangerous terrain with all it's hazards, but to make them compete in sandals was the ultimate definition of UNFAIR. I applaude them all for even bothering to act like they were going to compete.
I have to agree. The sandals were aparently shoes that the natives were accustomed to wearing and their feet and skin were adjusted to over a long period of time. The competitors should have been able to wear what they were used to. Then the lack of blisters and raw feet would have given them the chance to compete with their real skills and abilities. But unfortunately all that kind of went out the window when the skin started peeling off their feet. Understandably. I give them alot of credit. When they put those things on...they knew what was coming and they jumped in anyway. Wow!
As brutal as it was, it was the nature of the competition. These guys have to give up all of themselves and compete using the rules and guidelines of the tribe, regardless of their comfort zone. That’s what makes this all so damn enthralling. These cats check their fears at the door, come out of their comfort zone, and jump in with both feet.
That episode last night blew my mind. Their feet were becoming bloody stumps, and they kept running. The amount of mental conditioning that takes is ridiculous.
Noone dragged them there kicking and screaming, they went, they were tested and the Boys were seperated fom the Men, the event was tailormade for the likes of Corey and Richard who each found ways not to win. Brad ran 5 miles for the first time, Jason was pretty good but showed his hot head but Rajko was the most impressive. I enjoyed it.
I think it was totally cheap for rajko to tape his sandles. No body else did therefore he had an unfair advantage. Did you see any one else with duck tape? I dont think so...Besides he did not even abide by the original rules the only one that did that was Jason. But the mexicans were afraid that Jason was almost caught up tho the others so they stoped the race.

Okay, why was it cheap for Rajko to tape his sandles? People knew that he did. No one told him that he couldn't so obviously it's allowed. If the other athletes wanted to tape it, they could too im guessing...
When you said Jason was the only one abiding by the rules, what rules? I think everyone was following the rules.
The Mexicans were not afraid that Jason would catch up to the others because the person who stopped the race was the leader of Jason's team. I'm sure Jason would eventually catch up to the others but the Leader decided to stop the marathon because they "had no chance of winning" since Lirio lapped them twice.
Lirio might have passed out in three more laps and then everyone else could have caught up. Where the heck did he get ducktape in the firstplace. And you are right there were no rules because no one folowed them. Except Jason I did not even see rajko kick the ball.
I'm OK with the tape. I would have done the same thing. If wearing the sandals was a requirement then OK, but I"m not sure that it was critical to have them attached with the strap between the toes unless that's how you want to do it. I don't like that the race was stopped. I think that if the race was to be 27 laps, then by golly go for 27 laps and see who is the "last one standing."
Okay whatever, nvm. Everyone here is either Jason's family or a fan of Jason. What's the point of me saying my opinion when everyone puts me down and says Jason is the best. I'm not saying the Jason is terrible, he is one of my favorite athletes in the show, its just that everyone on these boards think that everytime Jason loses, it's because the others were "Cheap."
Ok the other guys knew he taped his sandals and if they really wanted some tape I am pretty sure they would have asked for it. Now I do agree that the teams were supposed to be kicking the ball as a team and Jason is one that followed that rule. Yes it was Jason's team leader that stopped the race and THAT to me was cheap but there was nothing anyone could do about it. I would have been just as peeved as Jason was but he was responsible about it in the end and got over it. EVERYONE else needs to also. NOw as to the issue about Jason's family on here. I have been seeing a lot of these little "fights" show up on almost all the bulletins. It is getting old BUT you know I guess I would probably be doing the same thing if it were one of my family members out there. No one likes to hear people talk smack about their family and it can feel a little personal. He is my favorite character but I am willing to accept others opinion and actually appreciate it. That is what these bullitens are for.
